Imagine a female Odysseus or Penelope if she was drafted into the Trojan war, they just gave birth, are sent off 10 years to fight in a bloody and awful war, and now when they are near victory the one thing that will make sure they live a peaceful life is to kill a baby. For a father that is devastating for a mother that would be just as for the last baby she had seen was her own and she could imagine the pain the other mother would feel. Yeah I am going there.
