realistically, Logic is at least 35-40% black. His dad is not mixed or everyone would know it, which means his dad likely has a black parent and a mixed parent (like Dave Chappelle's parents). Skin color can come out any which way, there are lightskins (NOT mixed people, lightskin means a black person with lighter skin, mixed is something else.) in Africa.

I've seen Logic's ancestry, his father's parents were both black and both of their parents were black, but one of the great-grandmothers appear part Indian. His father is black. Having lighter skin doesn’t equate to having less African than someone who is darker skinned. It really doesn’t. And he made clear that his father isn’t recently mixed but black. That means his father doesn’t have recent white ancestry. Most USA multigenerational- admix black people tend to have some European because of slavery. But it is Generations back. For example, YT Megan Bowen who looks white , is 65% African( her whole family look stereotypical black ) while Wanda Sykes is 59% African.

Being biracial is rough. Even though Hispanic is an ethnicity, I’m half white and half Mexican. I present super Mexican: brown hair/eyes, darker skin, etc but I’m not CULTURALLY Mexican. I’m “adjacently” Mexican. I had a identity crisis as a kid because I wasn’t Mexican enough but I always looked different from my white friends and wasn’t quite “white” either. It took me well into my adulthood to embrace both sides of me. I’m excited to see more prominent people in the culture discuss this phenomenon now that a lot of us are “mixed”.

I know many people that struggle with that, me too as a kid but I think that’s similar to any other teen trying to fit in the world only focused on culture by ethnicity and not on music or whatever you can identify with. At this time I truelly don’t care and when people ask where I’m from I just say my mama. But I see a little younger people as me live in a world were that aspect became like main factor of their identity while it should be the last thing on the list. I had a girl crying a little time a go because I told her she wassen’t Black because she was mixed and my friend who was said the same, she was asking why people do care so much about race at the time I was laughing she’s the one crying about race but now I think it’s very sad people create such an environment where race becomes of such importance, the world really going backwards again

I really enjoyed this interview. Heres my 2 cents. I think we are a product of our upbringing, then I guess dna... or more so a connection to our ancestors.
