In this video I demonstrate how to use the Quick Sampler Slice Mode to slice and chip up loops and samples to integrate them into your own beats and compositions! Check out my Splice affiliate link: bit.ly/splicemthg

I absolutely love Logic's Quick Sampler. One of my favorite things to do is to take loops that I have made, then chop them up into a new melody and add different layers to create new loops. Then I'll take that loop and chop it up and see how many times I can resample stuff to make different loops/samples for my channel. It's a really fun process

Oh I'm excited for this one! 🔥 Logic 10.5 has been absolutely amazing

This sounds a lot like infected mushroom. They have been using this technique in their music for quite a while using chopped samples and sequence-remixing them via piano roll. They now have their own app that does that. I might get one if it’s compatible with logic 10.3.

Another very helpful tutorial from our guy here! Thank you - Sampler is the most damn fun tool to play with in LPX! Now time for my dumb question of the day: If I have a file loaded into QS containing audio of a voice saying "one, two, three" but do not want the #2 audio loaded as a sample OR to sound on the tail of "one", common sense would dictate using the crop function might help, yet doesn't seem to do anything at all. Short of editing out "two" and re-importing the file or loading "two" onto a note that just isn't triggered, is there a way to make this go? What does "crop" actually do? Confusing!

Is there a way to add fades to all my slices??

Nice tutorial would be cool to be able to play the chopped up bits like a melody for example. Is that done with the sampler?

If I have a whole loop or sample I've decided to transpose, and I adjust the coarse knob up or down, is each value up or down mean the sample will be transposed one semitone up or down? or is it a whole tone? Thanks for all your help man I've learned how to use logic almost singlehandedly through all your content. You are the man.

Hi musictechhelpguy, How do I for example make a short note last for example 20 seconds that I have dragged and dropped into Alchemy or Quicksampler? For example if I want to chop a short C note of a bass guitar from a sample thats 1/16 note however when I press a key it will last 20 seconds long like it's from a Plugin preset?

Hello Josh, I asked you this question on your Sphere l22 video. Which website do you recommend for buying audio gear other than sweetwater, I'm trying to buy the Sphere but its out of stock there You have any other recommendations? Thanks

If Sweetwater doesn't have it, I usually go to Vintage King.

Awesome! Time to boot up my iMac and hit that update button!
@nitishcheriyan44223 жыл бұрын
Wish I could have done that. Unfortunately, apple requires me to buy new hardware which I’m not keen on getting now as I bought brand new imac in 2011 that I have barely used. Wish they would have given us an option.

@@nitishcheriyan4422 Well, I ended up not updating either because I received an e-mail from Spectrasonics that Omnisphere was not yet compatible and I should wait. Meanwhile having a look at other DAWs because Logic Pro is actually the one and only program keeping me from moving away from Apple products.

@@misophoniq I hear you! I have hardware keyboards and rme Fireface from 2011 era, so I’m playing it safe as I’m not sure if they will ever have any os updates for 64 bit apple os. I’m quite satisfied with what I have (just updated memory to 16gb). One of my pet peeves with computer companies has been their constant updates that renders old software invalid. Which is why I like hardware...it works infinitely.

@@misophoniq I agree apple logic is amazing because they ‘borrow’ the best ideas from other companies like steinberg, melodyne, presonus, ableton and fl studio in addition to what emagic originally had...

:: Hi, @ MusicTechHelpGuy! I'm trying to play different drums (mostly cymbals) strokes in Logic Pro X sampler. I know there's a way to do it but all I can do for now is dragging one sample at the time. What I would like is to that all the different wav assignes to different notes on my keyboard... Could you help? Thank you!! ::

What's with all this SPLICE spam? How about a sampler tutorial without splice????
@MusicTechHelpGuy3 жыл бұрын
Splice just makes it easy to find samples and loops I’m looking for. Not spam. You can just as easily find loops or samples on the internet, and drag and drop them in. Or find loops and samples in logic’s loop library. Same concept.
