The sad thing is the lesser known Chinese and Korean brands are doing better in terms of giving you more bang for your buck as well as having tighter tolerances and feel with buttons. $160 USD is pretty appalling considering their support isn't even top notch any more as they take a while to get back to you and it's hit or miss on how many hoops you have to jump through to get a replacement (not as bad as Razer but close).

I was super disappointed with super light 2: Worse glide, stiffer button and to little resistance in mouse wheel, make it a noticeable down grade! The new sensor u will not notice at all

I think the SL2 has more input lag than 1. The movement speed on SL1 is perfect, the SL2 o feel a little more latency.

I cant think of one mouse that has actually good glides as their standard. And I just hope that, the superlight 2 doesnt have the bug where the mousewheel becomes practically unusable.

Logitech should've updated the G305 as there are plenty of changes that need to be made there and it's considered entry level which in this economy more people need than top end mice.

@@vinicius401 I gave the mouse a chance in the 20 days that I've owned it and while it felt okay, it definitely did not feel like a 70 dollar mouse and the clicks felt tactile but hollow (i prefer Huano Blue shell pink dots now) like all optical switches and the skates were far from smooth compared to the stock feet that came with my Viper V2, Orochi v2 and G305 with Hyperglides.

Hey, loved the video. Can you help me please with some info? I got a Superlight 1 and wishing to get the 2nd, and I am fully ready to do that. I have a ton of mouse feet, skates for the Superlight 1 that I haven't tested and plan to use in the future. My question is, are those skates compatible with the Logitech Superlight 2? As I see the newer one has a straight angle on the lower/puck size while the original version is rounded. Are there any difference in the skate size that will make them incompatible? Cause to get complete new skates and toss the old ones in the garbage for just a design and different sake seems very scummy. If I am exaggerating and the original skates are completely compatible with the newer version then that's super good. Thank you!

Shows how out of touch mouse companies are nowadays. People who buy top tier mice for gaming don't care much about battery life. I think this would be a top mouse if it had a smaller battery and a bit more weight removed. Also be nice to have better switches and feet though. 👍

Disagree. 60 grams is light enough. I very much value battery life. I have a gpx superlight, lamzu atlantis og v2 pro 4k, razer deathadder v3 and the mouse i keep going back to is the auperlight. I'm going to do a video on it soon.

From a design perspective, they could probably curved the sides a little more and remove the dongle storage. Removing the dongle storage could save roughly 3-5 grams. On top of that, they could save money from the magnets and extra pucks. I hardly know anyone who plays with powerplay mat anymore, and they changed the charging method to USB-C which allows for fast charging. Why do they continue designing their equipment within that ecosystem is beyond me. Nothing about the GPX2 warrants an upgrade from those who have the GPX, not even after indepth polling/click and motion latency test. LOD adjustments are so common nowadays that it's not worth talking about. Click method type options are gimmicks. Logitech really treating their users like morons.

Its because Logitech’s lead designers are all old dinosaurs, they think they are hot shit because they have so much experience as the #1 peripheral manufacturer, that they are designing their products in an ecochamber, they don’t even know what other mouse makers are doing. Logitech’s design principles have always revolved around long battery life and a false build quality. You can see this way back in mice Logitech produced like 20 years ago. They used to put brass weights inside of their mice to make them feel heavy. This is because old people from that generation got burned by a lot of lightweight cheap chinese made products that broke. Eventually Logitech realized that using metal to add weight was pointless when they could just over engineer the inner skeleton of the mouse to add weight through excess plastic. Its honestly a miracle that anyone on their dev team lowered the weight on the first GPX but realistically, these mice were recycling old gpro molds by getting rid of the rightside sidebuttons. Logitech helped develop the sensor with pixart, but after their collab Logitech started producing their sensors inhouse and stopped working with pixart, and their sensor improvements have been only focused on maintaining a long battery life. They have not put in any improvements to the accuracy of the sensor. Them going to 2khz is not a shock to me since they care so much about battery life. I do agree with that decision though. I’d rather see more mice with 2khz polling especially for wireless mice because too many dumb customers blame the mouse for their games/computer not being able to run smoothly when using 4khz or 8khz polling. I’d rather people just have a smooth experience with 2khz instead eventhough I do like my 4khz and 8khz mice. I don’t expect Logitech to remain the top dog now that sensor tech is capping out. Even by Razer’s own admission their newest sensor is like 99.8% accurate, they’ve got like one more pixart sensor to go until there is basically nothing else they can improve on other than battery life, and the performance difference between the last 3 or 4 pixart sensors really aren’t that much of an improvement, the main difference has been seen in Razer mice in particular who have been dramatically lowered click and motion latency with better microchips and pcb/firmware design. The future for mice will be all about shape, customization, and weight. All things that Logitech has a hard time adapting to since they are dinosaurs. Also, their keyboards are getting left in the dust as well ever since Wooting came onto the scene. Realistically Logitech probably won’t die but they will probably stop focusing on their gaming peripherals and just sell office gear since that is where most of their money comes from. However this refocus will end up killing the company since most office workers play games and a lot of them work from home now, so all of those customers will want gear that is good for both working and gaming. Razer will probably be fine because they actually listen to the community every now and then, plus they have always been heavily focused on gaming. Zowie might survive if they ever pull their heads out of their asses, simply because their huge array of shapes and sizes are why they have so many fans. Their business isn’t built on tech. However Logitech will be leaving space for a new peripheral king. I wonder who it will be, there are a lot of promising candidates positioned well to take over.

Imo no if you are happy with the mouse you have. If you need to change it then 2k won’t hurt you but expect a drop in fps as it requires more cpu to compute

Just get a hot swap pcb with whatever button switch you want for your superlight...and the double click problem would be a non-issue. Or claim the warranty of your superlight within 2 years, which will almost always create the double-clicking issue within that time period. At least based on my own experience with 5 different logitech gaming mice, all double-clicking eventually.

What I find utterly disgusting from Logitech is that they removed the smooth glossy finish on the bottom sides of the mouse. This finish was there to prevent friction when lifting off the mouse and moving it elsewhere on the mousepad. They removed it and replaced it with the same finish the bottom of the mouse has. The only reason they removed it is to save money from the process of making it smooth. Unacceptable for a 175 euro mouse. I will look into getting a refund.

The Superlight 2 wasn't just for owners of the first one to upgrade.. You understand that right? I just got it to replace my g502 plus x which i dont really like.. USB-C is great, 2000hz is so smooth the shape is good the mouse wheel is much better than the g502 plus x and its so light. Love it

it seems most people preffer the old swiches in the first version. 2000hz is great and all, but it seems the new hero 2 sensor has SRAV issues, that means it's not moving the same distance at different speeds. If i where to get a superlight id go for the 1st version.
