There was a Superman comic that came out decades ago where Superman was split into 2 identical Supermen. Both had the same powers. One of them wore a red Superman suit and called himself Superman Red and the other wore a blue Superman suit and called himself Superman Blue. I can see this happening with Jordan and Johnathon

I'm surprised that Jonathan has such a mature attitude towards getting his powers, and is so willing to learn how to use them. Jordan was always so petty and whiny about his abilities, always afraid of them, rather than embracing them. Something tells me this is what's going to create a rift between Jonathan and Jordan, and may lead to Jonathan becoming Superboy and Jordan becoming......something else.

I mean, Jordan got powers when he didn't even know abt his dad and all of the supernatural/half-alien world. Jon had over a year to adjust to this new world, observe his dad's and especially brother's powers so he was a lot more prepared now than Jordan was when he first got them not to mention Jordan's mental health struggles

Jonathan is more mature than Jordan as he had to wait, but also because it seemed he was going to be human like his mum. Jordan would have superpowers like their dad, whilst Jonathan would be human like their mum, and he seemed to have excepted it. We also hear that he hated Jordan talking about his powers being difficult whilst he didn't have any. Also Jordan's powers were triggered by his insecurity, whilst Jonathan's were triggered by his pain, anger and injuring himself, but at first he said he didn't blame Jordan and just asked him to go away, but Jordan did not, and then Jonathan's patience snapped. Also, Jonathan embraced his powers, whilst Jordan feared his powers. Also, as Jonathan waited longer he absorbed more sunlight and as his body and mind are in better shape, his powers are in better shape. Jordan can see this and feels like a weaker, lesser being, and he knows Jonathan was right, which has shaken him and may weaken his powers. Still, Jordan will be needed as he has more expence fighting and at using his powers.

Johnathan deserves this. He earned it bc he was already a hero without any powers Notice Johnathan says if I could save 1 family from losing someone they love like we lost dad then I have to do it. But Jordan is only focused on saving HIS dad and instantly becomes jealous and insecure of Johnathan gaining powers instead of being excited and helping him. Jordan chose to mope and watch Johnathan fly instead of flying with him. Sheesh Jordan’s too impulsive and focuses on fame, girls, and only things he cares about. Plus he’s always whining and b*tching so much that even Johnathans character says “all you do is whine, complain, and b*tch”. Lois even chose Johnathan to live over him 😂

That's a great take on this series. I don't know why they chose to wait so long, or to write Jordan as they have. Gotta give it up to the guys playing the Sons of Krypton, they've done a magnificent job. I'm hoping they end this series properly, with Superman's rebirth, kicking ass & being the hero he is, with his sons standing proudly at his side.

Jordan's issue has always been living in Jonathan's shadow. Getting powers only solved the symptom, not the problem. Self esteem is everyone's own battle and is different for everyone. This show depicts that perfectly. The way the twins have been portrayed is a master class in writing a foil character. You have one with the character of a hero and not the powers and then one with the powers without the character. Now that Jonathan has powers, it really sets the stage for Jordan to make some real choices and I think that's beautiful. To me, they are the left and right foot that moves this series forward (I hate that this is the final season).

Jordan always jumped in head first without training or a plan. jon even said he didn't was a suit or expect to do what Clark does straight away whereas jordan wanted to. plus lois admitted they made mistakes with jordan and were trying to do things better. it only seems like lois gives jordan a hard time because he's impulsive and doesn't always think before acting whereas Jon's more level headed and calm so having a convo is different. u can see that by jon asking lois what she thinks about it instead of just acting first..also the whole point of the convo with her and jon was about him going to train at the dod. he wanted to talk it out first and then get permission instead if going behind her back

Jon is more like Clark. he can embody superman's legacy. I know Jordan can be an idiot most times, but it's okay to act that way at that age. In time, I hope Jordan can work through his issues and help Jon preserve Clark's legacy. i haven't encountered many people with maturity like Jon at that age. Jon is special, but he doesn't act that way, he is humble, kind a normal dude. The brothers are so different. Power just amplifies who you really are as a person. But both of them are still growing into their own. So although sometimes I want to slap Jordan😅(I would break my hand definitely😂), but I don't judge him. He has all the time in the world to improve his behavior. Which I hope is the case, and the writers' have done it justice.

When Clark was growing up, he wanted to be human, basically Jon. I'm glad Jon didn't get his powers earlier as Clark also got to experience being normal through Jon. Jordan was emotional and couldn't seem to keep himself under control, it's why his powers activated as it did early. Jon was basically mello for most of his life and it's now that his emotions are out of control hence, he got his powers. Jon got a taste of being human before being thrown into a life of powers which is already a headache to have at times. I liked the first Jon as he reminded me of Clark's dad. I can see Jordan being jealous of his brother now that he has powers and is handling it way better than him. In Jordan's eyes Jon's the perfect son anyone would want, so that's going to cause some rifts.

So having watched the show and everything I like this moment because it acknowledges some differences in mindsets with Jordan and Johnathon. Jordan his entire life had been an outcast the one forced to live in his brother’s shadow. That can build up minor resentment especially when you consider how natural so many things came to John. When Jordan got powers those things seemed to change. He was able to be popular he was able to come out of his shell and feel wanted. To finally be different and maybe see in his minds eye subconsciously better than his brother made him grow into something as fans we dislike. Arrogant, stubborn and at moments selfish; so many arguments that happened and worse case scenarios because of Jordan’s attitude problem. John is no saint he had plenty of moments himself, the thing is with Jordan it feels almost as though his mindset at the moment isn’t ready. This rift and Johnathon developing powers is gonna really show what level of character development Jordan has had. Him to have those same resentment feelings makes perfect sense, yet I don’t see him changing sides. I see a fight breaking out, but more of a sibling’s a squabble where they have to fight to air it out.

Because 1) Superman/Clark is right now dead, and no one knows if he would come back; 2) Jonathan is more responsible and listen to others (like Clark, Lois and Sam) than Jordan (jordan is a jerk, just like john told him that he wasn't trying to get Clark's heart, he wanted to help BUT also he was trying to be a hero). So yeah Lois is OK with Jonathan training.

Jon did kryptonX drugs for powers in the previous season because he wasnt the hotshot jock of the pair. Jordan who had struggled BEFORE his powers appeared often had Jon protect him from people, then had to struggle to master his kryptonian abilites, and Jon began to resent his brother. Yeah Jordan isnt the perfect fit for classic Superboy never mind filling his fathers, but there has been more than one Superson story in elseworlds, where a superson got powers and turned evil, killing either their sibling or a family member So I think Luthor is proposing a Superboy V Superboy fight to complete his victory over Lois and Clark

Just because you have powers doesn’t necessarily mean you are cut out to be a hero. I don’t think Jordan will actually be a full-blown hero like Superman or Superboy. But that doesn’t mean he will be a villain either. He might step in occasionally when necessary, but will probably live a relatively normal life and stay out of the game all together, which is honestly better than someone without the right mindset and such volatile emotions and skills trying to be someone they aren’t.

Jonathan was an absolute jerk to Jordan when he was huffing X-K, even going so far as to openly state that he was "better" than Jordan. Now he's like Rey from Star Wars, having instant mastery of his powers and already talking about playing superhero, something that Clark in particular, but also Lois and Sam, came down *hard* on Jordan for doing! Yet Lois is suddenly unopposed because it's Jon and not Jordan. He's always been the golden boy, whereas Clark barely even had a relationship with Jordan until his powers manifested, and even used to miss Jordan's doctor appointments. No wonder Jordan is bitter. Especially because when Jon was using X-K, Jordan was *excited* when he thought Jon's powers were coming in, only to have Jon be a jerk to him. There's never been *any* secret who Lois and Clark's favorite son is, and Jordan knows that.

So we *know* that Jonathan wasn't standing up for Jordan back then. He valued his popularity more. He was nicest to Jordan when had nothing to lose. Even then, some things like moving to Smallville weren't at Jordan's request, which gets forgotten.

@@Mike-fc9bx - No, but this whole storyline has had me thinking about seasons one and two of the show. Jon knew who Jordan's worst bully was (Cutter) and was on the football team with said bully. Yet he never seemed to care about bullying until they moved to Smallville and Jon suddenly wasn't the star QB of the football team anymore and was treated no better than Jordan by the Smallville kids. Then he started huffing the X-K drug and began bullying Jordan himself!
