That's exactly what I was saying too. Loki has been repeating he doesn't want the throne since first Thor movie. Imagine scenario with Thor in this episode. Thor has always wanted a throne to serve people. He stepped down, only because he didn't believe in his competence as a king. So finally taking a throne would have been a moment of thriumph for Thor. But it isn't for Loki.

I don't think Loki is at the beginning of time. He's still at the end of time. He is replacing HWR on the throne. The only difference is, HWR built the TVA to destroy all branches and keep his timeline safe. Loki is doing something better by holding all the timelines together himself and using his powers to keep them all alive simultaneously. Hence, the birth of a stable Multiverse. So as long as he is there at his throne, the multiverse will exist. He is not creating stories. He is recreating the story of the timelines by letting all timelines exist together in the multiverse. Just like how Loki reached HWR in season 1, I think the rest of the heroes will have to reach him in Secret Wars to stop the multiversal war.

He has a godly amountly of knowledge about Marvel Comics and his character in the comics and he and Kevin seem to be on the same wavelength when it comes to Loki and they have a good rapport with each other. Hell, once they reboot the MCU, if Kevin Feige ever wanted to retire I could even see Feige passing the torch to Tom to lead the new MCU

I think this falls into sci-fantasy. I've had better, there other stuffs that executed the ideas in the series better but I guess it's pretty nice. But it's more nice that you don't see the series as "superhero". That's another thing that's plaguing the MCU right now, fear of branching into other genres. They get trapped to the usual tropes cause Disney's too much of a chicken. Look at the other high mark of MCU this year: GOTG 3. You CAN get away of calling this space opera, hard scifi and not superhero.

I think it’s both heartbreaking and beautiful that it wasn’t until after Loki decided and declared that “the last thing he wants is a throne,” that he finally got his throne. Not to mention episode 5 when he accepted the fact that he’s afraid and does not want to be alone. This ending was so somber and poetic. I’m hoping for that so much. We see he was able to project to Earth from Asgard. I’m imagining it wouldn’t be too difficult from his seat at the EOT to project an apparition into any time or place. Even if it’s completely intangible or he can only hold it for a short amount of time. They have an easy excuse to drop a Loki cameo whenever they want if the need arises.

What's interesting is that the phrase "Glorious Purpose" focuses on the 'Glory' aspect in S1E1, while this episode shifts to emphasize "Purpose" alone lacking any desire for glory. Loki didn't want a throne anymore. He wanted for his friends TO LIVE. Even if it meant to live without him. It was the ultimate sacrifice. Such beautiful writing. This is one of the reasons I believe Loki won't have S3, and I don't think there needs to be one. p.s. I appreciate that writers are attentive and focus on telling a multilayered story as opposed to just making shit up for no reason to have a 'big bad' or 'strong' characters. This felt like old MCU. Hopefully it transcends to to the future bigscreen projects as well

Favourite moment of the whole show for me was when Loki paused time and HWRs just looked stunned. In that moment, the guy who was in total control from the beginning, realised his replacement was ready to replace him and Loki who had been following roads paved for him, suddenly was writing his own story. Seeing HWRs lift his hand and 'chalk one up on the board for Loki' with that hand gesture and say 'well done', was so satisfying. Loki's little hand pointing gesture at HWRs, felt like his way of saying 'Your move', in their game of chess. Easily that beats any superhero movie ending where the good guy wins by just suddenly finding the power within himself to punch the villain 20% harder than he's been already punching the villain for the entire movie. It was an ending where Loki wins through growing and learning, which feels so much more satisfying than an ending where a hero wins for some arbitrary plot contrived reasons.

Some of the best writing ever . Everything loops on itself just like He Who Remains explained. Everything down to the titles of the episodes loop yet end this two chapter story perfectly and poetically . The fact He Who Remains was alone for so long he formed a whole 5D chess simulation to prime a predecessor . It’s insane how Sylvie , Loki, Kang , Ravonna , Miss Minutes, Etc all offer to change time to others and how Victor Timely and OB are basically the same person at different points in time . They both serve the same purpose at different instances and in case . I hope Jon Majors beats his case . It will be a shame if the MCU loses such a versatile and natural actor .

This show gives me some hope that Marvel can still create magic with the right team overseeing a project. The story, the acting, the sound design and the visuals of Loki were head and shoulders above pretty much everything else the MCU has created since Endgame (GotG Vol.3 is the only thing that comes close IMO) which is staggering since we're talking about a Disney+ TV show. Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson are legends and rightfully deserve alot of the credit for this shows success but the entire supporting cast was absolutely fantastic. Props to everyone involved with this project, it was beautifully done.

When Loki was first introduced all he wanted was a throne and he lost every attempt to get one. Now after the best most developed character arc in the mcu all he wants is to be with his friends to the point he even says "The last thing I want is a throne" but in the end he has to let them go and take the throne to save everything. So in a way even after saving the entire multiverse like they said in season 1 episode 1 loki is still destined to lose what he really wants. This show is by far the best thing to come out of the multiverse saga!

I love how they had the moments of storytelling within Lokis dialogue, the moments when hes telling people about how events have played out giving us the clues to his change from the God of Mischief to the God of Stories. Forget Doctor Strange being the next face of the MCU have Loki be the one that brings us through the multiverse throughout the multiverse saga, give us a beautiful reunion between him and Thor and have him be a big part of the story. He is now officially a Hero in my book.

This wasn't the grand "fix" of the Multiverse saga. It remains a closed loop. Loki allows the Multiverse to exist, thus Kangs begin war, leading to HWR taking over and creating the sacred timeline. Nothing has been fixed nor changed until they finally defeat (if) HWR and break the loop in Secret Wars. We're merely back at the beginning and I'm hyped for what comes next

So according to days of thought and watching videos (including yours which is the best haha), this is how the MCU history all goes down (according to my theory): ● Multiverse exists as universes stacked, Kangs meet, Multiverse begins dying thru Kang usage, Conquerer starts War, Conqueror exiled to 616 realm, HWR uses alioth to defeat Kangs and isolate 616 completely. ● HWR makes 616 a loop where no one challenges him, puts branch timeline variant Victor Timely inside sacred timeline just in case he needs him, creates TVA and Void (both outside of time) to help him keep order, wipes TVA minds and makes Time Keeper story as he chills in Citadel (also outside of time). ● MCU events happen up to Loki ● HWR gets tired, decides Lokis are fit replacement, paves the way for both variants Loki and Sylvie (needed both to get through Alioth and to form connections). Sylvie kills him instead (releasing many branch timelines), but HWR prepared for this (by arranging Loki's time slipping thru his own tempad, by giving Loki onnections with TVA heroes, and by allowing Loki to understand the science through Victor Timely presence by using Renslayer and Miss Minutes as pawns). That preparation is to Force Loki to learn HWR has to live (if not loom overloads, destroys TVA, slowly kills branched timelines through spaghettification, which means 616 will spread to the multiverse afterwards and Kangs will destroy everything with multiversal war). ● So HWR is confident Loki will kill Sylvie to keep 616 intact (through himself) as Loki rules. However, Loki chooses option C, not killing Sylvie to permanently end HWR and deactivating loom before it overloads (saving TVA). He sacrifices himself (being alone in the Ciatdel) to give life to the branched timelines (die without the loom) to allow 616 universe to have free will (Yggsdrasil shape where main timeline is the "trunk" and branches are the "leaves") deciding to take their chances in second multiversal war against various Kangs within 616 timelines and from other universes which the TVA are defending against (except Renslayer who likely got killed by Alioth and VT who lived in the main 616 timeline peacefuly). ● Rest of MCU happens with new changes such as multiversal beings coming into 616 (NWH), ability of traveling to other universes (MOM), and Conquerer defeated in 616 realm (Quantumania). Also, the Kang Council meets outside of time in the connection between 616 branches (the leaves of Yggsdrasil) and their own universes to discuss their next moves against the 616 heroes (likely oblivious of the TVA and vice versa). Loki God of Stories will very likely play a big part in the upcoming MCU projects now.

Just like you said, If they did end putting Timely back, Most likely this version of Timely stays unaffected but since the whole multiverse thing, another version of Timely will always have the potential to be altered. There will probably still be a good Kang somewhere but it just won't be This Victor Timely.

I like how the first season had Loki’s character development mostly covered so when S2 came around it was given more room to go deeper into the TVA and the generall worldbuilding overall. This finale pretty much wraps up everything from start to finish. I don’t see how they’re going to go from here, this is essentially a series finale and I’m happy with it.

We know Loki's mom never lost faith in him, Thor adored his brother but was afraid Loki couldn't change the path he was on and Odin(correctly at the time) didn't think Loki was a good fit for a throne. Loki's family would be so proud of him! I'm also happy Timely got a second chance to live the life he was made to live, he was a bit of a trickster but I do think he was a good person at heart who likely would ave been a happier person if he hadn't been given the book.

One of the best Marvel stories. Btw this also reminded me of the Crisis on Infinite Earth, where oliver becomes the Spectre the Saviour for multiverse. Same does Loki, watching till the end of time. And also both with the green effect 😍
