Man, as a Master Butcher it’s great to see a cafe using proper butchers sausages! We make our sausages the old fashioned way using a natural skin to fill them & using only cuts of boneless, skinless pork shoulder! No belly & no skin and nasty bits! Been doing it for 29 years & still as busy as ever! Nice one Darren, champion of PROPER food!👍👏👏👏❤️😊

Why does a sausage bang in the pan
@butterflydiva19 ай бұрын
@@kirstie7187 It's the rubbish in the cheaper sausages that reaches a certain heat then they pop or bang. Some people prick them to prevent the explosion lol. But real butcher's sausages I wouldn't prick, but just cook them on a medium heat for 15 -20 mins and turn them every few minutes x

I accidentally came across some KZbinr who visited Mother Mash and he loved it but he couldn't hold my attention for too long whereas you had. The meal looked like proper English, quality comfort food and perfect this time of the year. I love English mustard in small amounts and horse radish too, but can't cope with a vindaloo or any meal hotter. Funny how we are all different regards our taste buds. Great review as usual. Bangers and mash is the true national dish of england. When I think of england, it's the first thing I think of. Bangers and mash, steak and kidney pie and chips, cottage pie, liver and onions, fry up. That's englands main 5 right there.

Well that had me salivating ! For the second time, as when I started watching I remembered that Gary Eats reviewed it a short while ago. Such a great concept, definitely with peas for me and good old Colmans. I remember last time I saw it I commented on the decor and said it was similar to that of a pie & mash place, and it turns out that’s what it was in a previous life. Really enjoying this new channel, even if I do get food envy ! Cheers DJ 👍🏻

Loving the new channel. Mother mash is great and Tracklements have a brilliant range of condiments, available in Waitrose et al, Darren, you should go to Rules in Covent Garden (Maiden Lane) Round corner from the other Mother Mash. Old school British food. Lovely game items on menu. Take Luke, suit up. Its an experience. One to remember. Lots of history and if you can hit the cocktail bar upstairs pre- meal thats well worth it.

Regarding mustard Colmans English is the best for me ,it is very strong but I find you don't need to put as much on as other mustard . Colmans French mustard used to be superb with steak but they stopped making it for some reason . I think all these other English mustard are ok but no where near as strong as Colmans. If you are into heinze tomatoe soup try putting several drops of Encona hot pepper sauce in,wow it's great on a cold winters day .
