Heard this song on a EDM dance music station on TV when I was 13. I just had to search what this song was. I discovered Aphex Twin's 85-92 Selected Ambient Works at 14 when KZbin recommended it to me. That was the first time I ever discovered Aphex Twin. Then I started discovering more Aphex Twin albums. Next listened to Selected Ambient Works II, Analord, Syro, Classics, Analogue Bubblebath 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Windowlicker EP, Polygon Window and Caustic Window. Aphex Twin is one of my favorite electronic artists right there with: The Chemical Brothers and Daft Punk.

I’m happy for you you’ve discovered some great stuff! Thanks to my introduction to ‘Lone’ in roughly 2013 (I think) I learned about ‘Boards of Canada’s’ influence on him and so started to listen to them; BoC is now my number one favourite music group/musicians of all time. I also was listening to more of Richard D James (Aphex Twin) around the same time as well; and I love his music too but slightly to a lesser extent than BoC (just my preference). Do you know of or have listened to the French band ‘Air’ and do you have any opinions of their music; They’re also among my top favourites some of their music gives me a similar feel to BoC. I predominately love their Albums: Moon Safari, Talkie Walkie and 10 000 Hz Legend. If you don’t know of them listen to ‘La Femme d argent’ by Air. P.s. I get that you potentially may not enjoy what I enjoy but I just wanted to share!

I invite you to check the old label "Good Looking Records" ;) the pionner of atmospheric/or intelligent Drum'and'Bass. The owner was/is LTJ Bukem (a true Don). Big Mention to: Wax Doctor,Lemon D, Nookie (also known as Cloud 9), Blu Mar Ten, Seba etc. An another label from this era: "Moving Shadow" (amazing artists on this label!!) and another Big Mention to: Calibre (a true Don) - owner of "Signature Recordings" Enjoy Mr Roni ! :)

I truly believe that most artists who do create nostalgia in their soundscapes are profoundly influenced by earlier R&B from artists such as Anita Baker, After seven, baby face, any Quincy Jones Collaboration for starters. They have especially LONE, hidden samples that drive me with thought provoking images of Junior High school in 87 and Ce LA Vie was a big hit back then. I swear BOC do this to me every time and it becomes fucking personal. They and LONE regardless of age difference, are talented when it comes to creating the past inside the present. Alpha wheel reminds me of AL B sure's song:(I can tell you how I feel about you night and day ,,, LONE is person with a heavy foot in the past and damn he is good at picking the signals from the noise.
