My Dad once told me that most women make decisions like teenagers for the majority of their lives and now that I'm older I see exactly what he was talking about.

Your Dad nailed it. They then claim their husbands are immature. They'll often toss out 25 years of marriage on a passing impulse. They'll be suicidal a month later and not certain even why they did it. The rest of their life is ruined every day until they die and they are eaten by their own cats.

@geechristopher6076……. Yes your dad is correct. Women/wifes have little to no common sense. Women make impulsive, irrational decisions and leave and divorce great men/husbands after 25, 30, 35, 40 years of marriage. When you do this at this time in your life, you destroy your net worth, retirement savings, the family unit and family relationships.

I’ve very rarely seen personal growth and increased maturity from any woman in my life whether it was family, wife, girlfriends, coworkers or acquaintances. I see them repeatedly make the same mistakes over and over again. They forever require guidance and protection from themselves and their nature.

Being a girl for 40-50 years must be hard on these girls. The ones who have grown up and found happiness and joy by seeking it in reality rather than in selfish emotions are lucky. "I am woman hear me roar" means little when there is no one there to hear it. When all a girl cares for is herself she is lost and not likely to be found.

Things were going well at work for both of us, kids were doing well, had a nice home, cars, etc. We never really argued verbally and disagreements never got physical, but she started nit picking everything trying to start fights daily which confused me. For the same reason they lay waste to a 10 year union with a man they claimed to love on a whim. They are entirely self serving. They dissolve the marriage because they want more than they have. They post it all on social media seeking nothing but vapid validation. One of the main issues I see with women is that they don't know how to be happy. Women seem to believe it is the duty of those they surround themselves with to make them happy...they can't fathom happiness that comes from within...because they always seek external sources of happiness.

Got dumped after 25 years of marriage. Picked myself up. Dusted myself off. Did my utmost to be in the kids' lives. Didn't cause issues. Found a lovely woman. My X got more and more bitter. I had a new child with a beautiful woman. My X started to turn my adult kids against me. Child estrangement syndrome! Out of the blue!!! My X never found a new man! Sadly. Never changed her life in any positive way. Complained to mutual friends about being a single mom!!!. Being a weekend dad sucked. It hurt me. My kids. So why? I'd still be married too. Her now. Even though she was very difficult sometimes. I'm no Saint but I tried all my life to be a good husband and a great father. I'm sorry for her. My kids. Me and the family. Now my cousin is going thru the same thing. His X is finding out that his income made her life very comfortable. He's supporting his kids paying half the mortgage etc. But she is struggling. The interesting thing was also to watch her physical decline. While she was married, she looked healthier and better; then after the divorce she started to decline; the same time she's complaining that no-one really cares about her. I'm in my early 40s and one of the reason I never married, was I was watching others getting divorced by their wifes between the 7 and 15 year mark, despite he's working his bottom off and providing for the family, they having everything, going on 2 to 3 holidays per year with the kids and she cheats, is unhappy and dumps him. I always said, I wait till I'm in my 30s; but then I looked at all the people I did know, the ones who got married with 20 and by the time I was 32 they were divorced, lived in a small flat, did see their kid once or twice every two weeks and were driving a cheap car while losing half of their income to the wife. I'm now in my 40s and except of one friend, and they Eastern European, happy married with 3 kids, the others are ALL divorced; and in all cases she announced it out of the blue. In two cases she came crawling back after 6 months and luckily they turned her down. That's my experience here in Europe with British, German, Austrian and French couples.

Kudos to the strong independent divorced women who have bought houses, work 2 or 3 jobs to make their own money and sleep less in the house. I tell you, you are great and don't need a man, the banks need you. You will be more at work.
