The 2019 - 2021 Silverado Trail Boss should come like this from factory. Dodge Ram TRX & Ford F150 Raptor both have this aesthetic touch that separates them from the rest of the field, Chevy on the other had dropped the ball.

The reason Chevy didn't do it is because once the truck gets a certain width law states it needs the Amber lights across it and the trail boss doesn't meet the width. Good job man, A little tip I learned.,To help with the aerosol nozzles clogging up set them in some hot water before you spray. 😁

It looks good man. Boost auto has an easy module so your fog lights come on when your park light come on. I put it on my truck. With lights in auto the fog lights always come on automatically.

So I asked about possible hood flex at high speeds and was ignored. I understand as an influencer this can go overlooked, but I want to reach out to the concerned. Yes, at 75+ MPH the AVS Aeroskin LightShield will cause shake in the hood. I followed the install to a tee and I also ordered the "paint match" to relieve the stress of painting myself. Yes, the end result looks "Bad Ass" and I have no regrets installing this MOD, but to be clear to ALL concerned there is "Hood Shake".

At 80mph this thing shakes the hood like it’s about to come off. Looks great if you don’t drive over 50mph. DO NOT RECOMMEND!! Had to pull mine off. Too bad I spent $182 based on your video.

Added the lighted AVS to my 2019 Silverado. Looks great. But, I’m getting a raspy noise in the dash area after reaching approximately 50 mph. It sounds like sand shaking in a box. It’s annoying and I can’t figure out how to stop the noise. My hood gets a lot more air on it now especially at high speeds. I believe the AVS diverts the air into the cowl area. It’s very annoying. What’s really messed up is the noise disappears after I wash it or I drive through heavy rain. Something is getting wet and stops vibrating or moving around at high speeds. Anyone have any ideas on how to cure this noise.

Try adjusting your hood stops to make the front sit tighter against them, maybe that'll help.

Just incase you wanted to even lower the brightness of them you can use “buck converter”, i used them on my switches in my car because they were too bright, installed it and adjusted the voltage to my liking and now its perfect and match the OEM switches

This turned out awesome, love the upgrades you've done, and I've got quite a few cosmetic upgrades I'm currently doing to my 2021 Trail Boss Custom, but I've got a long ways to go to be where you're at still. Ive had the truck for about a week now, and watching you're videos has really inspired me to change all the things GM seems to have dropped the ball on, but i digress. Getting closer to the 100k mark, so when are you breaking ground on the new shop? Also, and more importantly, at least to me that is, does this Aeroskin make your hood rattle at higher speeds? I've seen some reviews on other types where at about 65mph the hood shakes pretty bad.

The trx and raptor have to have them by DOT regulation because of the width of the truck. Chevy doesn't need one because they didn't change the width of the trailbloss at all

Like clockwork, as soon as I hit +70mph I get the hood wobble. Luckily I live up in the country and 99% of my driving is under 70. But definitely something to be aware of

Just sayin. On your next ABS paint job. Take the sheen off of the plastic. I’ve used paint stripper. Then 360 to remove sharp tips. Adhesion promoter. High build primer (rattle can). Maybe a couple of coats.lMaybe a sanding primer over the high build. Maybe. 600W/D (wet). Then color etc etc. Probably save a lot of work. Has worked for me and I’m just a retired refrigeration fitter 🤔.

It looks great, and chevy should offer the option of adding this type of modification from the factory; however, the reason Ford and Ram put the amber lights on the front of the Raptor and TRX is because it's required. 3 amber colored lights are required on vehicles over 80 inches wide to be road legal. It's the reason why 3500 dual rear wheel pickup trucks and semis have the amber colored lights on the roof. This is likely the only reason they added them, but they did a great job at making them look good.

There is a reason why GM doesnt install this from factory and it isnt because they didnt thnk of it LOL. Its because hoods are molded and any hood deflector at highway speed will cause hood to wobble and flex that will in turn crack the paint . It also traps the water , it will pool the water behind it and eventually that adhesive will come off lol

Looks great. FYI, Chevy didn’t leave the lights out. The other trucks you were talking about are required to have them by federal regulations because they are wider. It’s a wide truck thing.
