Well, Cody does visit Greg Jackson's here and there I believe, but yes I'd like to see him branch out more as well. I think Freddie Roach would actually be a very good fit for someone with a style like Garbrandt, and really investing time with him might provide huge benefits.

MEXTEKA bro Tj vs Cody could’ve went either way.... in the first first Cody almost took Tj out but the bell saved him. Tj was less emotional in both those fights that’s why he won. Plus Cody has a weak chin lol. Not making any excuses but that’s one of those match ups that can go either way.

Hey mate - this is really great. can you tell me what you used to shoot this on (camera/mic?) I live in Australia and want to do something similar but dont know what I need/can get away with using. cheers
@MarloweHolt6 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the support! I shot the slow motion with a sony a6500 and sigma 30 f1.4 wide open. I always have two cameras on me and shoot both simultaneously when the opportunity presents itself. For the main footage I used a sony a6300 with sony 18-105mm F/4 on a zhiyun crane v2, with a Sennheiser MKE 400. It's very small and great for gimbal use. However it wouldn't be my preference for most work. It also depends what camera you are using. Sony cameras function a bit different, when you zoom in with the lens, the audio zooms as well. Which is why the audio in this video was unpredictable and catches so much background ambiance. On my Sony cameras I prefer my Rode mics, even just the standard rode video mic works pretty well, but they are just too large for such a small gimbal. On my gh5s I really like the sennheiser mic, it has the perfect pick up pattern and audio levels work well within its gain range. However I dislike my rode mic pro on the gh5s, its gain levels +10db and +20db are either too quiet or way too loud.

Does dillashaw have diaz as boxing coach. Do any of these guys have diaz as boxing coach. Im transitioning from boxing to MMA. Would like to know what boxer coaches also train mma fighters. I know freddie roach does some.
@MarloweHolt5 жыл бұрын
Cub is from the area near his gym and has been going there for a long time. They go to Diaz's gym to get a different look. Specifically how to fight in the pocket. There's a lot less room. These guys go to different coaches for different things; Duane Ludwig for kick boxing, Philipe Furao for Jiu jitsu, Mark Munoz and Darryl Christian for wrestling, and Sam Calavitta for Strength and conditioning. There is really no single place you'll find everything you need.
@LuisSanchez-lc9wb5 жыл бұрын
@@MarloweHolt i see thats whats up. Dope video man. Im from new england and where i live there really isn't many mma gyms or BJJ gyms. Think ima go to one of the BJJ gyms, and keep boxing. But man be nice to learn to throw some deadly kicks
@MarloweHolt5 жыл бұрын
@@LuisSanchez-lc9wb When looking for a jiu jitsu place keep in mind traditional gi BJJ isn't completely relevant in MMA. You have to find a place that teaches modern techniques that are applicable in an MMA fight. Out here we have 10th planet. I don't really know whats out there.

Anatomy of a fighter is trying to copy ufc embedded too much these days.
@MarloweHolt6 жыл бұрын
Will does a great job with AOF, he is a machine. We both started shooting fighters about the same time, around 4 years ago. At the time UFC Embedded was called something else, and no one had really been covering fight week. There was a lot of mystique and intrigue, no one really knew what went on behind the scenes. I did that for a while with various fighters and quickly realized that it's actually very limiting from a storytelling perspective. Fight week is the same almost every time, boring unless you capture something crazy like Connor throwing a dolly at a bus. It's wash, rinse, and repeat. The most dramatic thing is the weight cut, which honestly is stressful to shoot and exactly the same. Additionally you have to turn the footage around so quickly that you never get to put your best work out there. I spent the last few years developing a format that I consider to be the best, more similar to UFC countdown. They cover the fighters about 25% into their fight camp, which is very smart. They are getting in hard sparring, killing the strength and conditioning. The fighters are strong and have more patience. They are more willing to give you a few hours to shoot a real interview, setup lighting to create stunning visuals. An ideal mix would have UFC Countdown quality visuals, real training like this video, lighting and full audio set up for an interview. This is more my focus now, I feel like I have a good handle on how to accomplish this moving forward. Check out my instagram @marloweholt I am going to be releasing a video like that with Anthony Njokuani leading up to his ONE Championship kickboxing match. Thanks for your support!
