It's not any of our prerogatives to wish that John returns to England to be closer to his siblings. Instead, he may have found peace and solace living in Australia. Besides, the most important thing is that Richard (with "LLF" UK's assistance) located his missing brother. No doubt, they'll all keep in touch.

Seeing the families on this show getting together really gladdens my heart. My father left my mother with 4 children aged between 8 yrs old to 10 months old. He moved abroad so our mum never got a penny from him. My siblings and I looked for him and finally met up with him 31 years after he left. The reunion was extremely emotional. However after a few months we discovered who he truly was. A very selfish, boastful, uncaring but also charming man. Our relationship with him lasted less than a year. When I got news that he had died I didn’t shed a single tear. I am so very happy for those on this show that find the fulfillment and happiness they seek. ❤️

It is wonderful John and other siblings met and felt a bond immediately. Unfortunately many siblings even living their childhood together don't keep in touch when adults. My brother hardly ever talks to me. I know many other families that has bad relationships in the family. Why it has to be like that, it is sad. It is not that obvious that biological connection means automatically you are part of the family.

It was always me and my brother then we found out we had a half sister, then a few years later i find out theres two more half sisters, I couldn't believe we never knew anything, when I found out one my sisters was put up for adoption I couldnt believe it, I was angry she had to go through that but I'm happy she had good adoptive parents, we talk every few years, it's not what you think it would be, my sisters all have different moms, different personalities but we are alike in many ways also, I'm a very good hearted person and some things one of my sisters would say, I couldnt handle her way of thinking, we all have the same dad but my brother and I were raised by our mom and stepdad, maybe things will be different in time but for now it is what it is, when we were all around eachother and would meet up I'd give it my all to get along with them, I love them, I think our kids and jobs make it even harder to see eachother more, but If they'd call, I wouldn't turn my back on them, it's still my sisters

I found my birth mom. I expected that I would feel grand with this news but I didn’t. It was a data point, nothing else. I know stuff happens. But for me, the greatest gift were my adoptive parents. They gave me the gift of God, the gift of a brother, the gift of a stable family. They lived long lives. I’m so grateful. My mom and dad were rock stars. They reached out and loved and adored my brother and me. Being adopted was one of God’s greatest gifts in my life. My mom and dad made a difference. I was a bitch of a child but they always loved me. They stood by me as I made a mess of my life and they rejoiced as I figured it out. I will never forget the dozens of roses I received for each academic milestone I achieved. I will never forget the pride they shared when my babies were born. I will never forget when I was lost for a college paper and my mom knew someone who knew someone who could and did help. It was magical. Aced that paper because of that help. Life evolves. My folks have died and nothing prepared me. I woke up one day to know they were going to die soon. I never expected this. It was a harsh reality. I never wanted to outlive them. But I did and I know they left me only after knowing I would be okay without them. My parents were not saints. They had as many warts as did I but they were good and loving. They cared so much and gave so much. I could have not had it better. I’m so grateful that these people chose to love another’s child. I was never some one else’s child. I was their’s. Thank God for the gift of adoption. Rock stars now sitting at the right hand of God. I rejoice that they lived a loving life together. I rejoice that they shared that life with me. No greater love. Amazing that we found each other. That we lived to cherish each other. No greater gift.

@@NayLouise24 yes. additionally a lot of babies ended up here in south africa. the second boer war [or the second south african war] killed nearly two-thirds of the afrikaner children. post-independence governments looked to the baby mills in the uk and ireland to add to the white stock. Katie meets her birth father and he Is accepting. HOWEVER, I think he suspected the rumors of a child wee true but he didn’t want to investigate further to verify. That’s what it seemed like to me. It wasn’t convincing when he said he had no idea and his family didn’t relay the message to him that his girlfriend had given birth! Years have passed now so he can admit the truth. When at the end, the searching youngest brother says, "I wish Mum coul've been here to see this", I want to tell him, "oh, but she is. She's with you all, on this momentous occasion!" I'll bet she's proud of her youngest, for finding and reuniting with the two she had to give up for adoption.

Well... I don't know what kind of person she was but giving 2 children up for adoption and then refusing to meet them... That says a lot about what kind of person she was. Some people were forced to give their children up and then suffered from guilt and did not have any more kids. Compaired to them she def is a very selfish woman. I don't know if she is watching cause I can't tell if she even cared in the first place. Do not romanticise people like this.

Seems like we are being told so little about Kelly's Dad, Richard. Was he married? Had he had kids? Was his mom still alive? Was his half brother interested to meet his niece? Etc.

The show most likely omitted those information by request. Kelly's mother and Richard's current family might not want to be exposed.

I wondered the same. Kelly never mentioned if Kelly's mum was still alive. If so, she could really confirm if she had told Richard she 'was pregnant' or if she told him she 'thought she was pregnant'. I would love to hear her side of this story, if she is still alive.

Great stories, especially about John being found. I'm sorry but I must ask -- why didn't Kelly rinse the soap off the dishes before putting them in the rack to dry? I've never seen that before and I actually spoke out loud for her to rinse them! How can you eat on soapy dishes?

It’s been 35 years! At 19 you see life so differently. Teenagers are so insecure, I can totally see him thinking she dumped him. Especially since he had no direct way to contact her. People that grew up with cell phones and Facebook have no idea how easy it was to lose track of someone back then, especially when you add teenage angst

At 47 I still don't know my Biological father and I always wondered if he ever cared to want to meet me or know if he even thought about me. It is so painful to think and wonder about the and if I have siblings. I guess I'll never know. Watching these videos brings joy to my heart. When my brother passed away I also wondered if there were other siblings by his dad as well. My and my brother had different fathers and the same mother so to this day I feel like an abandoned illegitimate child because I was left out of another family that I may never get to know.

Take a DNA test, my friend didn't find his father's family (whose name he didn't even know) until he was 49, when he took an AncestryDNA test and got a cousin match. Few months later, he was meeting aunts, uncles, cousins and all sorts. Everyone was lovely. Miracles happen.

Kelly's dad Richard probably suspected that he had a child and knew his mom had prevented him from having any contact with his child's mother but left it at that. He was lying. I also think the show didn't give any more into about his family bcs his mom might still be alive and that would make her a target for people to gossip. He probably didn't want to upset her and he requested for the rest of his family not to be shown on tv.
