Naptural85 you mentioned how you don’t prioritize length but you do prioritize the health so would you ever just cut your hair to the same length of your shortest layer? If not why wouldn’t you do it? - Btw love what your doing keep it up boo♥️

I have a question. Some KZbinrs with natural thick long hair say DON’T trim that it’s “ridiculous” others like you, with gorgeous healthy hair, encourage it. So I’m a little confused 😅 because I’m growing my hair and I don’t know when it’s necessary to trim. I did a big chop after bleaching my hair (which I’m NEVER DOING AGAIN) so my hairs are like 5 inches.

Good tip about good hair shears! They need to be good quality, and really... don't go cheap on shears!!! Mine are razor-sharp (brand Ultron, I'm in the EU/Belgium) and they have to be because I have very thick hair, fine hair, but a lot of it! I used to have regular drugstore shears and they "sawed" through my hair, a sign that they aren't sharp enough, they really need to "snap" make that cut easy.

I’ve been getting soooo much pressure to cut layers into my hair because people say it looks flat but I totally agree with what you said Whitney! Layers cause more knots and breakage and my goal is to have long healthy curls. I just trimmed my hair while it was flat ironed and then I came and watched this now I wanna do it again trying your method but I only really have a need to trim every 4-6 months so I’m gonna do my best to hold off!

Wow that actually makes sense about the layers and how they might contribute to single strand knots etc. I never thought of it like that. Thanks for sharing love it
@PreppyFay124 жыл бұрын
This video inspired me to bob cut my hair at the end of January 2020. Since then my hair has been growing out beautifully and looks denser and fuller. Additionally my ends break a lot less often. Having fine hair it’s that much easier for my hair to break so having them evenly trimmed they can be stronger together against breakage. I still have a slight layer as some of my hair catches up but for the most part it’s the same length. Given Corona not sure when I’ll be able to get it professionally cut again to maintain the shape.

It’s 2020 and this is my current goal! I have mid back length at the longest point and i am working to get all of it into one dense layer, it is much shorter in the front from breakage and cutting layers. I don’t want super long hair, i actually want a very blunt/dense mini twist bob, for that i need my hair to be about mid back length blown out all around. I’ve been using this method dusting my ends after every protective style...works great!

Why was it so soothing to watch you brush and comb your hair ☺️? I have been meaning to get that blow dryer. Ps. Have you been learning more about shedding and scalp heath? I would love for you to do an updated video about that. I have been saving my shedded hair for 3 years now, where monthly I would keep track of how much hair I shedded and write a note of what I did to care for my hair that month, then I would put it in a ziplock bag. A month ago I finally started doing weekly black tea rinses and I will start doing more protein treatments. Even though I have tailbone length hair, I feel like my hair is doing more shedding than growing. I tend to get a minimum of 6” of growth a year, but the last 14months has been a huge setback for me because my hair is still the same length it was 12 months ago 😓. If you have any advice, I would love to hear from you. Thanks 🙏🏾.
