Well, I think to me, the bezel that I like is the plain polished one without insert as I like the "explorer" look. However, if we are looking for a "Tudoresque" type look, the coin edge with red dot insert will make this watch pop. The case does not have crown guards so it will look very black bayish, and will fit every occasion. Excellent vid Marc!

No. 7 Pilot's style is my choice for the bezel. I have enough watches with serrated bezels. With the plain polished bezel, it's got hints of a Grand Seiko style.

I think this whole idea it great Marc. It’s just meant to be something fun, which it is. Cool to see something come together with input from your fans. I’ve been lucky enough that every pick I’ve made has been the top choice minus the handset, but the marine master ones were my second choice. I think the watch is gonna turn out great and you’ll have demand for it. Keep up the great work!

I just bought the ISL-85 Robin eggs and received it today. 2 day shipped from NY to AZ and let me tell you mark… you knocked it out of the park. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I haven’t gotten that much attention on a watch ever. Even my favorite of my collection, a Tudor. Definitely looking into islanders more to expand my collection.

Glad that the silver snowflake second hand won. On the bezel, the polished coin-edge variant plays well with the simplicity and elegance of the design. Big.tooth bezel is cool but would work better with a less restrained set of components, IMO.

Have you ever though about an Islander Automatic GMT with all your great Islander designs it would be super cool to see a GMT in the line up, that is if its cost effective to produce. Oh Mark! This is the first decision on the variables that I’m finding a little tricky to make. I’d say over 50% of those bezels have a good right to be on that watch.(my thoughts of course) I’m going to vote on this right now. I am one of the hardcore voters, albeit for the first two rounds. This whole thing is very cool, thanks for doing it. The problem with trying to get something wild through voting is that "wild" is different things - each choice is just one item along the long tail of vote distribution. That being said, I personally was never expecting that and haven't been voting that way particularly, and I'm finding the results to be pleasantly surprisingly tasteful.

God that knurled edge is tempting, any chance of a knurled crown to match? For me I love a wild colour palette but clean design, I think the Martin Baker MBII is a great example of this, the anodised case covers are clean and really help the watch pop without looking busy.

I prefer "Pilot style" to achieve a "BB41-esqe" look. However, figuring that an insert will be needed, I am lobbying early for a dual-time insert in Batman, Pepsi (remember - BLUE DIAL!) or White numbered lumed stainless.

Very cool that this coincided with my Islander build. So far only the dials match but it's been interesting to compare the two as we go through this. I hit a snag when I damaged my last crystal gasket. Now I'm waiting on the replacement. Again it was laughable seeing people charging as high as seventy dollars for a single gasket with shipping. i went through Cousins UK whose prices are relatively sane. An actual hand written letter weighs more than a gasket.😂 Asking thirty dollars to ship one is just dishonest.

Hey Mark - totally unrelated to this: I would absolutely love a series from you on affordable watches with gorgeous dial. I've seen some examples form Seiko, with a very nice guilloché, and for example the lovely Oris ProPilot Okavango Air Rescue Limited Edition (granted, not quite affordable). This got me thinking I've never seen anything dedicated to this. Looking through watch stores for this is like looking for a needle in a haystack. So would you do something around this?
