It seams the video is not very smooth. I usually video my prairie dogs hunts, and not sure this would work. Also, will it work for a Vortex Razor spotting scope?

I don't see any reason it won't fit on a Razor, it's got a pretty large adjustable opening. As for the video, it can definitely get a little pixelated especially if you're zooming it. Like I said in the video, it's probably more well suited for hunting or spotting flags and stuff over actually watching targets for shot placement. They make better products for actual target usage.

Seems like if the unit just had an HDMI to lighting adaptor would take care of the lag.

How far can it be used to see 6 or 6.5mm bullet holes? Does it help in looking at targets at 300-400-500 yards to spot holes? or do I need a long range camera? Now I use my phone on a time delay with an app taking photos every 10-15 seconds so when I shoot a ladder etc I can see shots 1-2-3-4-5- etc etc

If you can’t see it with your eye using the spotting scope you won’t see it with the Longshot camera. For that kind of distance you’re probably better off with one of the target cameras.

Do you still use the Hawk or have you found a better one by now?

I honestly don't use it anymore. If I need to do spotting scope work I'm using this system now kzbin.info/www/bejne/h2qVXn-JrJyhidE

Neato!!! Hey John, what kind of spotting scope is that? I’m looking to get a better spotting scope but only have a budget around $300-$400.

That’s a Kowa 883, about $3,000. For $300-400 I’d look at a vortex diamond back. Pretty good for the money. There’s also a Kowa in that price range too.

F-Class John, ok cool, Doug at camera land has a sale on Kowa Konuspot 20-60x100 in that range. Only thing is is not a very good warranty on Kowa’s. I also thought about a Vanguard 20-60x82.....haha decisions decisions!

Nice chicken camera.

Is the video of the chickens choppy when you view it or is the choppiness I’m seeing due to its upload to KZbin?
@FClassJohn2 жыл бұрын
To be fair it's a little choppy in person although I've been told more current versions are much better. This video was quite a while ago and their technology has improved.
