Something kinda scary to think about is a Saiyan and Viltrumite hybrid. Imagine a warrior who can live for thousands of years, gets stronger just by aging, gets even stronger just by surviving the brink of death, can keep fighting for hours while mortally wounded, is capable of training themselves up in power by orders of magnitude at a time, and their weakest transformation multiplies their power by 10. Such a hybrid might just be the perfect killing machine. Edit: A few people seem to be getting confused, so I'll clarify. By "weakest transformation" I was referring to the Oozaru form, also known as Great Ape. I was not referring to Super Saiyan, which is stronger than the Oozaru form and as such is not their weakest transformation.

I think this is pretty accurate. I think the "weakest" version of Goku that could stop the Viltrumite invasion is Goku when he arrives on Namek/powers up for Captain Ginyu.

If he has a bag of Senzus he could stop the invasion for sure. He wipes out tens to hundreds with a single x4 kamehameha. Which causes them mild panic, he eats a senzu when he gets drained. Repeat. He could probably kill a few with a base Kamehameha not even fully charged. I don't think he could kill the entire race, that'd be silly, but he could stop the invasion sheerly by putting down enough for them to second guess the cost Vs gain of the invasion.

The high end viltrumites, the ones sent out to conquer whole planets are FTL but not billions or trillions of times. Plus if.we're taking comic viltrumites. There is barely 100 combat ready pure blood viltrumites at the end of the second viltrumite war, at current time I'm pretty sure (not certain) that there are less than 50 purrblooded viltrumites. At best they can jump around Goku enough to tire him out, they ain't got the strength to put him down when it took 3 high end ones to explode an already corrupted core of a planet. Meanwhile king Vegeta can planet bust with no effort who isn't much stronger than base Goku w/o Kaioken. Worst case scenario, a couple get tagged, even with one full strength hit it'd knock the wind out of themand allow followups. Edit: My B on the huge wall of text, I love invincible both comics and show, same with Dragonball. But I don't see how any viltrumites can take out a Saiyan saga Goku, Nappa could take on their strongest, and Goku one shot him with ease. Invincible just isn't a franchise with universe or even planet busting characters in it. Omni man is shown head and shoulders about the majority of pure blood viltrumites barring thragg and conquest. And the half breeds are super weak in comparison to Full bloods barring Anissa. So as I said, a select few are strong, and a select few are MFTL.

There's a difference between standard speed and reaction time. Hulk, for example, is pretty consistently below FTL, but he has great enough reaction time to fight Thor, who absolutely is MFTL.

If Thor were MFTL then hulk wouldn't even have time to raise his arm to block before the blow impacted and Thor moved back out of range, regardless of if he could predict it from Thor's reaction speed. Since we regularly see them exchange serious blows, it means that Thor likely isn't even FTL, which would be consistent with what we regularly see from him. I will explain further below, but Viltrumites have to be assumed to have an ability to travel at massively FTL speeds through deep space that is separate from their normal combat speed. This is the same restriction that MCU Captain Marvel is restricted by due to being intercepted by a thrown object when trying to take the infinity gauntlet to the micro verse portal, a moment where she should have absolutely been moving at her top speed. --- The simple reality is that most characters are faaaaar slower than most power debaters claim, simply because speed is one of the hardest aspects of X vs Y to properly assess (due to how easy it is to introduce writing inconsistencies) while also being one of the most impactful by a wide margin. For a simple example, the top speed the Flash "shows off" / "is stated to have" regularly is either light speed or slightly FTL, with exceeding that speed usually portrayed as causing weird physics + speed force effects like time travel. However, one writer once had him evacuate an entire city as a bomb was going off by moving hundreds of thousands of people a couple miles outside of city limits over just a few seconds (no time travel). A fan calculated that to do so he would have had to travel at trillions of times the speed of light. Now, do we take this speed to be the Flash's maximum? Or do we discard this feat as an author not doing proper math? The same has to be applied to other characters. What/who is the slowest enemy that regularly hit a character? The weakest that can cause them to bleed? What feats of power are regularly shown to stress their bodies and/or minds? In this case we look to the many non-flt melee combatants that regularly tag Viltrumites (just not-Justice League fight has many good examples) and conclude that they are all normally mid-tier speedsters that have some sort of ability to massively accelerate when moving in a straight line over interstellar distances. Contrary to what many will claim, Goku in most forms is somewhere in this speed tier as well. The simplest proof is how often in the series characters will take at least a few minutes to fly to battlefields on the other side of their planet. Where Goku is undoubtably king, as is so often the case in anime, is in durability and offensive power. Dragonball Z makes no effort to hide at what point attacks become capable of casually destroying planets. There is a very real argument to be made that youth Goku (from the end of original Dragonball) could easily kill most Viltrumites and that they in turn would struggle to meaningfully harm him.

@Gutsman1000 Thor has some pretty consistent speed feats, among them being hin crossing the Universe is several minutes. He also famously fought (And was at least able to oppose) Gorr the God Butcher, who can literally travel through time while fighting. He also claimed that time and space were child's play for gods. He also managed to react to and catch Mjolnir despite being caught off guard. These are all excellent speed and reaction time feats, and Thor is one of those characters with a lack of antifeats that can make us think he's much weaker than we think. We can interpret these as not being outliers because, to my knowledge, he has never struggled with a time sensitive matter, nor has him being 'slower' than his enemies ever actually played a major factor in his fights. As for the Flash, we can pretty reasonably place him as being ridiculously fast. Even if we ignore that infamous feat of him thinking in an attosecond, the comics portray him as incredibly fast, and his speed is always pretty good. He outran death, both Post-Crisis (Barry Allen returns after his death in Crisis on Infinite Earths by literally just outrunning death), and Wally West did it to escape the Black Flash in the New 52. There is also Flashpoint, which was done because of Flash's ridiculous speed, and is one of those feats that can't be an outlet because of how major the event was. My general criteria for if a feat is relevant for a character is four basic things: 1) Is it a feat done by the version of a character being discussed? I don't care for Kingdom Come Flash if I'm discussing Rebirth Flash. 2) In massive, canon crossovers (Where the best feats are located), is the character consistently this strong? Superman punched out the sixth dimensional World Forger, and in another crisis, outran and speedblitzed reality-blitzing missiles from Mandrakk. 3) In their standard comics, are the characters generally strong? Flash and Superman have some fairly consistent speed and strength feats, although not always as extreme as others. 4) Does the character have a reason to not go all out? Superman's "World of Cardboard" speech, although from the animated series, is a consistent concept from the comics. He, and a lot of Heroes, tend to hold their punches because they don't want to kill people. In massive crisis events, they have to go all-out. If a character has a feat in a standard comic that is greater than any crisis crossover feat, then I consider that an outlier. Edit: Also, It's likely that DC's "Light Speed" is just much faster than our definition of light speed. At one point, Superman travelled 100 trillion light years away from Earth (And notably, we don't see the Source Wall anywhere, so it's not even at the edge), while our observable Universe is only 94 billion light years across. There is a colossal difference in size that can be explained by light just moving way faster.

Another thing to consider is Goku wouldn't be fighting alone but with the other Z Fighters. It's very possible that the others would take out a sizable chunk of the invasion force before Goku even arrives. I think another interesting hypothetical is if the Viltrumite invasion happened during the Saiyan one. Like Yamcha is about to fight the Saibaman only for the Viltrumites to come down.

One of my problems with speed feats is that they use travel speed as combat speed. A race car or a fighter jet can go really fast, but once they start maneuvering they slow down significantly. Likewise dodging lasers and similar feats doesn't mean they did so with no warning... there's an indicator beforehand with the opponent aiming. If you point a gun at me I'm going to move out of in front of the gun, maybe even just duck and take cover. That doesn't mean I'm fast enough to dodge bullets. Otherwise, I like these videos. Just found them yesterday and enjoying them so far!

What if he used instant transmission to bring Dende to Namek? If he did that, then he could pop back and forth between Namek and Earth for quick heals. I'm not sure if Dende's heal restores stamina, but if it does, then that solves the stamina issue without requiring downtime.

The problem with the stamina issue you brought up is that it only has to do with when he’s fighting others of the same strength or greater. I think the splat factor would come into play. The gap between Nolan and Thrag when they fought was much lower than the gap between Sayian Saga Goku and the average Viltrumite. Goku also has AOE moves at his disposal, imagine him getting rushed by Viltrumites and he pulls Nappa's finger flick move and everything around him is wiped.

The Kaio-ken strain wouldn't be a factor here since he wouldn't need x3 and x4 to defeat the stronger Viltrumites like thragg. I see the splat factor being a major problem here since Goku has way better durability than any Viltrumite so while Goku may have trouble catching a viltrumite they will have trouble hurting Goku. Overall I agree with the rest of the video. Him beating over a billion viltrumites is rather unrealistic especially with his current level of stamina. Though I believe Post Namek Goku (No Heart Virus) should be able to win.

One thing to nerd about is how the species fare. Viltrumites have a power cap, a limit were their feats stop. Basically every Viltrumite is born with a set power limit that has very little potential outside of their starting toolkit. Training becomes meaningless but gaining skills, experience and combat techniques would improve their chances at winning, with also a complete control over their smart cells which is actually what makes an elite warrior. Saiyans have limitless potential, the zenkai boost, although risky, every time its triggered it leads to permanent increase in strenght. There is no cap and DBS shows that it can even go beyond universal or multiverse. This is what allowed Goku a "low class warrior" at birth become the most powerful warrior of his universe. Training increases their strenght, experience and combat techniques makes them capable of beating stronger rivals and the way Kiai works allows them to make a wide arrange of feats outside of brute force. The weakest Viltrumite can't even dream of becoming an elite warrior while the weakest Saiyan can become the stronges of them all.

I think the "people who hit stronger people and die" thing might be more so due to Thragg's kids genes. He had a large majority of kids with a weaker species that aged incredibly fast so he could have a huge family. And even though Omni Man had kid with the same species, he had time to grow up and as viltrumite hybrids age, they become more viltrume in genetics. Travel speed doesn't equal combat speed. Goku has been shown to react much faster then Viltrumites (i.e viltrumites get hit by beings many times slower then them, but Goku doesn't) and also has much faster combat speed, thus he can probably speed blitz them because they can't react fast enough.

Yeah goku has only got tired when facing an enemy that negs him or when he was starving against Yamcha and even then his power level was like sub 50 max during the beginning of DB he got tired against vegeta because he was pushed to destroying his body with upper level kaioken, against Ginyu but that was literally because Ginyu goku got his ass beat by everyone else, freeza because freeza could sustainably match kaioken x 20 so goku got worn out once again by kaioken, heart virus wouldn’t be a problem and cell wasn’t twice as strong as him but was atleast a decent margin above him

This is very true and something that definitely needs factoring. A trained martial artist like Goku has incredible efficiency of effort in battle. Fighting multiples of weaker enemies who can not only barely damage you , but you in turn basically one shot them? it would take a long time for Goke to get tired.

All Gero would need to do is get rid of the weakness of the smart atom’s, make upgrades to them adding in super 17’s energy absorption, and absorbing abilities. The biggest factor you touched on but didnt expand on was speed and endurance: Fight speed and flight speed are different. Many people have put hands on Viltrumites but they are usually just overall stronger so they end up murking. Goku has FTL *combat speed* where viltrumites dont. 2. Endurance. As stated in invincible, if you are weaker than the opponent you take some sort of damage so compound that with the fact that in Dragonball, if your power level is x2 lower than your opponent, then you cant even phase them. So just imagine Anderson Silva or Mike Tyson verson 1Billion Ants. Im still taking the fighters but the ants do have a shot. However, they have to fight all the Z fighters and Bulma so I feel like they hold off the invasion high-diff

(This was stated to be inspired by green lanterns if I recall) It’s shown the viltrumites attack like a waterfall, slamming into the person continuously, so the question is, can gokus kamehameha create a couple miles wide blast? Yes, he can. He doesn’t even need the kaioken to begin with. One thing to remember is that his stamina doesn’t matter, they can’t hurt him, likely will die trying to hit him, and he can just create an Omni directional blast anytime he needs a breathe if they try the human body suffocate him attack.

One thing to note is that, Viltrumites are susceptible to extreme heat and can be vaporized. That's how Thragg and his children died. Meanwhile Goku's Kamehameha, also other ki blasts are capable of vaporizing beings that can destroy planets with ease, like Frieza. If we considered Goku to be stronger than all the Viltrumites, even Thragg, Goku can easily vaporize a bunch of them with a single blast strong enough

One has to consider that FTL travel for viltrumites only occurs within the vacuum of space where there is no resistance and they can infinitely accelerate using their flight ability. Within the atmosphere of a planet like earth, drag forces and aerodynamics likely apply. This is kind of illustrated in the Invincible show when Nolan wipes out the Flaxans by speeding up and becoming an awesome comet of death. One of the things people ignore about speed feats, especially in comic books is that the feats tend to actually make very little sense when actually analyzed within the context that they're in. Superman is probably one of the most guilty of this in general, as in Issue 500 he can tank a star going off in his face, is a thousand times faster than light and can punch so hard it literally rips holes in the universe, and in the next issue he'll be beat up by Lex Luthor wearing power armor. Viltrumites are no different in this regard. Comic book writers have a hilariously warped idea of scale and this frequently takes the form of beyond-nonsensical speed and strength feats that don't actually transfer to the story when it's taking place, or which are sometimes deliberately misinterpreted by fans in versus debates. This is how you get the situations where Viltrumites apparently need entire armies to conquer planets, yet Nolan is a single Viltrumite that can toss around meteors the size of Texas. I don't know if you're aware - but a meteor of that size would wipe out all life on Earth damn near instantly. For reference, the KT asteroid that wiped out dinosaurs was 10 to 15 kilometers wide and its impact was felt worldwide. Texas is like 10 times wider than that at its widest. Nolan could legitimately just throw asteroids at planets from space and destroy them with contemptuous ease, solo, no problem.

Texas is 1,289 km north-to-south, so... That said, there is one specific, actually measurable speed feat in Dragonball that everyone seems to miss. Goku travels from King Kai's planet to King Yemma's castle in roughly 1 day when the Saiyans invade. It is heavily implied that the heavenly realm is analogous to the mortal realm and that the Dragonball universe is either our universe, or a mirror of it. That means that Goku travelled about 46.5 billion lightyears in, at most, 24 hours.

I think this video is fundamentally flawed. The Saiyan “invasion” was three different people, because they had only, well, three Saiyan at the time. Obviously Goku is going to lose to the sheer numbers of the Viltrumites, that’s like asking if a MMA Champion could successfully beat the entirety of the US Army Reserves in one on one. He’s going to get tired and overwhelmed from the numbers against him. What you REALLY should’ve done, in my opinion, is Goku vs Nolan, Conquest and Thragg, since Nolan could take the place of Raditz, Conquest with Nappa, and Thragg as Vegeta. Your research was good, I just think this video is kinda dumb because it boils down to “MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS OF PEOPLE VS ONE REALLY POWERFUL PERSON” and it’s just kind of an unfair argument.

The Viltrumites had 2 advantage on this hypothetical, numbers and speed, however, the speed point is extremely arguable since we see people that are nowhere near light speed being able to fight against Viltrumites and even kill them. Also i don't think destroying the planet should be a base line for the average Viltrumites strength, since that planet was destroyed by Omni Man, Invincible and Thadeus, 3 elite Viltrumites with the help of Space Racer's gun. I still agree Goku would lose eventually, since knowing how Thragg works he will probably keep sending all the Viltrumites until Goku is tired and then start sending the stronger ones, eventually Goku will get exhausted but i thought it was worth pointing out those points. One thing the video ignores is number up to a certain point doesn't help. It's not like the billions of Viltrumites can attack Goku at the same time. But a Kamehameha can kill everyone in a line, so the number is limitless. Moreover their numbers will get on the way of their speed. Have you ever experienced being in a crowd? Unless the Vilrumites have intel on Goku, they have a high chance to all die. The way they win would be to like park their ships outside of the solar system, and slowly sending squads of a million Viltrumites, after a few days, they may win from by attrition. But if they part their spaceships close to the Earth, Goku could just kill them all. With "Vegita's techique", 1 ki ball per ships is enough.

Literally every Z Fighter during the Saiyan Saga can blow up a small to medium sized planet with a single Ki blast and don't even get me started on Goku when he arrives from his training with King Kai who was many times stronger than Piccolo. Great video as always, really loving the creative stuff you have been coming up with. To be the “Devil’s advocate” for a moment, there are higher metas for Invincible that get from Solar to Uni+. This is mainly from the Omnipotus stuff, along side the fact the crossovers such as the Marvel crossover and the crossovers with Spawn, Supreme, and other characters are stated to be canon as well. Everyone knows the Omnipotus stuff from what I know, but the Supreme and Spawn scaling that can get around this level shouldn’t be overlooked. Even with these feats though, one could argue even early Z villains in the anime, such as 2nd form Frieza already read similar if not higher levels. As for speed, Marvel speed scaling possibly applying for Invincible gets pretty crazy. I’m not arguing anything above finite for Invincible though. Marvel just has some insane calculations for reaction and combat speeds that people may be able to apply to the viltrumites. Again this is all really high-end potential wank stuff, just thought it would be interesting to note. Still would get slapped by End of Z/Beginning of Super though.

You're throwing in Frieza who is star level, the Ginyu Force who could blow up the Earth hundreds of times over casually, Zarbon and Dodoria who could curbstomp Saiyan Saga Vegeta effortlessly, and thousands of other soldiers who are at least as strong as Roshi was when he blew up the moon or stronger than Raditz. The durability and AP of the Frieza Force characters is too much. Most viltrumites would turn themselves into a mush of broken bones and flesh if they flew straight on into a Saibaman of all things. Okay but here's a question, how strong would a Viltrumite/Saiyan halfbreed be? The Ability to fly without the need for Ki, natural super strength, infinite stamina and the extreme healing factor of the viltrumites mixed with the durability, combat potential, zenki boosts from near death recovery, and the potential for super Saiyan of the saiyans. Assuming that Saiyan genes wouldn't be cancelled out and the child wouldn't end up 99% Viltrimite like Mark, we've got a canidate for one of the strongest characters in fiction

I think something must be said for the question of what led to these series of events? Did Raditz still show up and everyone's blindsided by the Viltumites instead of the Saiyans? Does everyone else die right off the bat? Does Goku have Senzu beans to recover stamina and heal? Did he even die to learn the Kaioken and Spirit bomb? Did King Kai know about the invasion? Does the Galactic Patrol not step in at this point? If King Kai knows, would he not spend more time focusing on just the spirit bomb or just the Kaioken, as either being much stronger or capable of taking out far more enemies would be a massive boon. If the Zfighters knew a massive billion man army was coming, wouldn't they want as many fighters as possible, possibly even trying to recruit Earth's army combined with confiscated RR tech and/or Capsule corp tech? If Goku isn't killed by Raditz, isn't it possible for them to use the dragonballs to relocate the planet or the like to stall off the invasion until they're strong enough?

The Z fighters struggled against thousands of Friezas men, and all of them were above Saiyan Saga Goku. If those were all Viltrumites, they would have been screwed big time. Seeing how they can take blows from Omniman, shows they arent gonna go down with just a few punches, already they can easily destroy a country, and Omniman is 2000 years old, so them being able to take blows from that old of a Viltrumite speaks volumes. They broke apart because those werent full blooded Viltrumites, but seeing as their half bloods, they still gave Invincible a super hard fight until he got stronger. This version of Goku would absolute get whooped, non of the other Z fighters would be able to compete, even with both Nappa and Vegeta by his side, they would still lose badly, to many of them, even if it was 100 it would be a very hard battle, that i still dont see Goku winning on his own, they would speed blitze him, even if he hits 5 at 1 time, thats still many more just crashing down on him, they are too a warrior race, they would jump tf outta him bad.

Viltrumites are superior in terms of physical power (saiyan saga goku trained while experiencing 10 g and wearing 100kg clothing, which added to his natural 60kg bodyweight, meaning he felt like his body weighed 1600 kg, which is nothing to a viltrumite, who can casually lift a cruise ship). DBZ characters are superior in terms of energy projection; their ki blasts could easily turn to dust a huge amount of viltrumites at once. Goku is also vastly superior in terms of fighting skills (viltrumites clearly rely mostly on their immense strenght and speed, but I don't remember any of them showing great technique).

Base goku before the tournament of power did 50,000 thumb push ups while on beerus planet wearing a suit that weighed over 300x earth's gravity. The suits were strong enough to burrow into beerus planet. Base goku was also able to stand up in a black hole. As far as striking strength goes base goku during botg took out an attack stronger than the shockwaves he made in his ssg form that were going to turn U7 and its macrocosm into a void of nothingness. In the manga during botg, ssg goku's shockwaves were going to destroy U7 and goku in the manga just like in the anime absorbed god ki into his base form. Goku can also get rage boosts and constantly break his limits further increasing his stats just in his base form. Ssj goku during the frieza saga also held back frieza's deathball with one hand then punched it away destroying a planet instantly.

If it's just Goku on his own, no. Would he win in the end and there be some arbitrary way the Earth gets restored? Yes. It was just Goku and Vegeta, and Kid Buu blew up the Earth. It was _basically_ just Goku and Vegeta and Frieza blew up the Earth. If it's any being that can blow up the Earth, and it's less than at least the original Z Warriors in full, then the Earth gets destroyed if that's the main goal. But regardless of whether it's destroyed or not, Goku will always win because he's Goku, even if he loses friends, family, and even his planet in the battle. And then all of those things he lost will inevitably come back.

This misses a lot of key information; fling in a straight line toward a planet is useful for travel, not exactly so much in a fight. A good reference for this was superman getting his shit kicked in by wonder woman in a 1v1 fight. Supes complains that "hes much faster" then her and she replies" a straight line is a lot different than punching, you lack balance, form and proper angular momentum" and she just wrecks his shit. These same Viltrumites straight up admit that if the planet was not destabilised, they would die instantly if they tried to destroy it (Goku is multi- planetary at this point, you need a power level of 10000 to destroy a planet, base form saiyan saga Goku could destroy most of the planet in one attack, with no Kaioken. Viltrumites only have high travel speeds in **space** because space is frictionless, allowing them to infinitely speed up (give a rocket infinite fuel and it could do the same). I think it's easier to reach higher speeds in space. We haven't seen the Dragon Ball characters flying through space before, but since it's a vacuum, it would only make sense that they'd reach higher speeds without friction. I'm sure there's equations to figure out how that speed would translate with gravity, drag, ect.
