Just buy a C2. Best bang for your buck and you get a very good resell value if you want to quit rowing (don't)

Agree, just buy a Concept 2 and never look back.

The resale really is a heck of a selling point for them. They essentially bottom out at around 800 bucks. You can buy a used one for 850 use it for a while and sell it for 850. You buy a off brand one and you won't be able to give it away.

Came here to say this. Save up, if you need to. Cheaping out isn't something you really want to do on rowers, the C2 is so good it may help you enjoy rowing enough to keep with it, and as you said you can sell it for nearly what you got it for, if rowing isn't for you. It's actually the wiser choice, financially, if you can save up.

@vanquish421 that's another good point. If you buy junk it may sour you on rowing for good when you may have enjoyed it with a nicer machine.

1. If a rowing machine cannot display power in watts, then all the other seemingly helpful metrics like split or cal/hr are just fake numbers. Except spm, all other metrics are estimated based on the power measured. 2. If you are an adult strong enough to perform a body weight squat, magnetic resistance from permanent magnets is not enough for you to have effective workouts.

I have a V fit rower well built, cheap, I find it hard work, Spm and Time are fairly accurate the rest of the metrics not so sure.

What are your thoughts on the Rogue Echo? I don’t think I’ll ever jump ship from my C2, but just wondering what your opinion is.
