Very smart to have the washer/dryer covered by a roof. A thing I would have done differently if building would be to consider the space between the washer and dryer and the wall. The service entrance it is exactly that: a service entrance. Lawn mower, swimming pool cleaning equipment, maybe a generator had to be able to go through with plenty of space not to risk damaging appliances, gas tanks, or whatever it is placed there. It is the only thing I would have built differently. But overall, great layout.

Great suggestions. It would be difficult to get those things through for sure. Thanks for sharing.

I love videos like this that address practical concerns I might not have thought about otherwise. Thanks! Editing to ask if there are risers for washers and dryers.

I’m not sure I can explain it,, Absolutely love this video you’ve done. Yes, I’m gonna subscribe and yes, I hit like, but I love that you didn’t push that. You just spoke. What was on your mind and show somebody a video that you seemed passionate about. Keep on doing what you’re doing, man ! I don’t know how to explain it, and I don’t want you to take any offense to this, but I really enjoyed this. You talking to me about what you know. . Take care give me a holler if you ever think of it

Good information to know! Since that one area by the washer is open, could you get a magnetic screen to hang there and keep the bugs out?

Humidity brings lots of bugs. Nope!

Hola Cortess! Geckos are good to have around and inside your home for bug control and they especially like to eat cockroaches but I don't think they would want to wrestle with that size of a bug! For that size you would have to some heavy artillery lurking around outside like some iguanas! That's just one of two good reasons I live in Ensenada, no bugs and it never gets hot. Two weeks ago it was warmest of the year, it got up to 89 for two days! Today it's a sunny 74 and it's always cool at night so you can sleep good. Weather plays a big part in my quality of life. BTW-I just checked my weather app and it says today in Merida it is 95 with a feels like temperature of 109 with the humidity! Ouch! Mucha suerte desde hermosa Ensenada!

That humidity was no joke today. It was brutal (and still is). I've been eyeballing Ensenada due to its close proximity to the States in event of emergency. How far to the border and how safe it it there? What do you like about it? Are costs there significantly less than the US ?
@dianacook63372 ай бұрын
@@MoveAbroadandThrive in my opinion cost are not a lot less than USA due to proximity of the USA. Our daughter lives in San Diego CA so we checked out living closer to her. We looked at Baja, Rosarito Beach & Ensenada. There tends to be lack of water issues in these areas. With all that said I do like those areas. Be mindful not near as safe as Merida. You would not let your girls go off on their own for sure.

@@MoveAbroadandThrive Cartess, also we fly into TJ from Merida about a 4 hour direct flight. We Uber to where our daughter lives in San Diego. About a 35 minute Uber ride.

Lovely house Cartess! Did you get as many bugs and tarantulas in your previous houses? 👍
@MoveAbroadandThrive2 ай бұрын
I didn't have any tarantulas at my prior house in Arborea (very few bugs). No bugs at my current house, I just see more tarantulas outside.

In our house here in Western Mexico we have an in-house enclosed service room with a screened window so that way the water doesn't come in or the bugs don't come in and it's easy to get to since it's enclosed in the house.
