the deciding factor was not the behavior of the defendants , it was the statement that the defendants made about the plaintiff's car being present at the studio , after the lying plaintiff just told the judge his car was in the shop being worked on . he thought because he is a senior citizen he had a right to lie to a judge .

@@mikemontana3443 You missed the part where the judge asked @12:50 if the plaintiff got his car fixed, and he said yes. Then he proceeded to proclaim it cost him $1311.
@mikemontana3443
@mikemontana3443 6 ай бұрын
@@al3220 I didn't miss that part at all. It was a poor question from that "judge". If he brought his car in to get fixed and they fixed part of his car, but they needed another part so he picked up his car until they got the part -- and then he was asked by this "judge" "did you get your car fixed" -- do you think she would let him explain all that? She would have cut him off immediately. Truthfully, he did get his car "fixed" but not all the fixing has been completed yet. And then the "judge" asked him "did it cost you $1311" -- he answered that that is the cost but he has not paid it yet because the work has not been completed. A completely honest answer.
@p1n3apple21
@p1n3apple21 6 ай бұрын
@@mikemontana3443Are you serious? That question wasn't just valid but integral to the whole thing. The only thing that was poor was his answer because he lied about it being fixed. I don't know why you're trying to stick up for that guy but saying something is fixed and something is partially fixed is 2 different things. If the shoe was on the other foot and you sued a body shop for not finishing a job you paid for and their response was "we fixed it" , would you really say they fixed your car? You wouldn't say "no they didn't fix it" or "they only fixed part of it"?
@p1n3apple21
@p1n3apple21 6 ай бұрын
@@mikemontana3443also she asked him what it cost him, not what the cost was. Those are 2 very different things and her question was very clear. If you have not given anything up services then it has cost you nothing and you haven't given anything up for services then saying "$1300" is an outright lie. That's what they estimate WILL cost but that's not what it DID cost you. Stop making up excuses for shitty people. They guy even lied about the defendants testimony. She didn't attest to pulling away from the curb, her testimony in fact said the exact opposite.

GET A DASHCAM! I had an accident where a lady straight up ran a stop sign and lied claiming I ran the stop sign. Insurance said that they couldn't determine who ran the stop sign. Bought a dash cam after that. Next accident a lady changed lanes into my car and then claimed that I changed lanes into her. I sent in the dashcam footage and my insurance called me back 30 minutes later and said my deductible was waived, they will pay for all repairs and to not worry about the claim. Suffice to say the other lady's insurance accepted 100% fault.

It's odd judge Millie never looked at the police report. Did the woman say she pulled away from the curb, or not? I was leaning toward the plaintiff on this one, but at the end the plaintiff was looking suspicious after saying the car was still in the shop being repaired as the reason why he didn't have a paid invoice when it actually wasn't in the shop. He drove it to the People's Court. I think the judge was about to rule in his favor until that came out. Plaintiff looked deceitful at that point. Case closed

But even the defendant acknowledged that the report said she pulled out from the curb; she said she was upset because that wasn’t true.

A lot of times she looks at the documents before the case. She also knew they both found discrepancies in the report so there's really no point in using it.

My mom had to go through probate court due to a lawyers negligence. My father was going downhill with his health pretty fast and us kids discussed that my parents go have a will made up just to avoid probate. They thought it was a good idea, went to a lawyer telling him the purpose of wanting a will, he drew up the will, but when my father died, my mom had to go through probate to sell her property because the lawyer didn't check the titles. We found out that even though her name was on the loan and on the title, it didn't state that they were husband and wife. We could prove with other documents that she was his wife, but the state wouldn't except other proof! If you ask me, they just wanted her to go through probate.

Both are on the spectrum. For sure. I can’t imagine the production of the show doesn’t tell them in advance where they should be walking to so it’s either you don’t care you don’t remember or you’re just slow.

He does interview them in person usually. You haven't seen episodes where he actually shakes their hand or puts his hand on their shoulder? This was covid time after things were starting to open up but with restrictions. That is why only the judge, Douglas, the litigants, and any actual witnesses were allowed in the courtroom. That is why you also don't see any audience in these episodes. During these times, Doug was interviewing them remotely.
