Legend of Spyro is "dark" in the same way that Harry Potter is dark, which is to say not really but it has its moments. It's basically just "Lord of the Rings" but with dragons.

To be honest, I like all of the Boxarts of All of the Spyro Games, But the one that I loved the most just now, is the Japanese version of Season of Ice. Cause the Animation of Spyro is Amazing just like Crash Twinsanity’s Animation on the NTSC version of that Boxart, 3 Loading Screens, & the Character’s Game Over Screens.

Come to think of it, they did make the boxart of Spyro 2 and 3 cheaper and more on the childish side. My guess is, they don't really know if europeans are into these edgier looks, (Spyro 2 looks fire and cooler), and they chose the safe side and make it look more like games made for kids.

I find it weird that they use the gems from Spyro 1 on the Spyro 2 Japanese box art. I also don't like the PAL version of Spyro 3, the Spyro logo blends in with the blue, and Bentley looks stoned...Spyro Orange, a flying face lol The thing that's a little jarring with AHT, is that Spyro looks like his classic PS1 self, yet in the game, his face looks a lot different, and I don't think we ever see a castle in the game? Plus the castle in the first game looked more like it's own identity, yet this one in AHT, looks like something out of Harry Potter. And Spyro's a little bitch boy in Legend of Spyro, at the start he's scared of everything, and I'm like, this isn't Spyro lol, I do appreciate the art style of TEN's cover, NGL, he does look cool, and the whole thing with moon makes it looks mysterious. BTW, his wings look too blended in with the lightning. In the DOTD cover, notice how Spyro is on the brighter side, and he has fat horns. DOTD, is the one I enjoyed the most, it's still has issues, and the script is even more cringe, but Spyro's model is improved, and his face kind of looks similar to OG. Plus, it's more fun with Co-op. Skylanders is when I went "Yeah, this is defo it's own seperate series now" The volcano in the Skelos Badlands part reminds me of the Season of Flame cover. And Spyro just STARES into your soul. In the placeholder one of Reignited, Spyro's stance is perfect and is from the OG Spyro cover, so how did they fuck up his stance for the Reignited Spyro 1 cover? It's weird how with those lizards, that you don't see them in the level but only in the outro of the level itself. No orbs on the cover 0 out of 10.
