Arizona, it's full of wonderful surprises. Especially for someone who used to think it was just a big desert. Thanks Jerry.

Being that I have always lived east of the Mississippi River, I had heard the term “quaking aspens”, but never really understood it. I was lucky enough on one of my many trips to the Southwest to be there in Fall, in an Aspen forest, while the wind was blowing. I immediately understood the phrase and was forever imprinted by experience. Thanks for the beautiful reminder.

Loved this one - peace and beauty dispelling the negativity and chaos that currently bombards us and gets inside our heads. PS: Mexican food prep with a little humor thrown in was a bonus. I second the notion that you two should host a cooking channel.

Like the calm slow pace of the filming and music of this one! Thanks. I've enjoyed hiking up Bear Jaw, then on to Inner Basin and back, the last 2 years. Going to mountain bike Waterline this week to see the aspens and Inner Basin this year!

I think next year that’ll be my route. I hear the basin gets crazy packed and have been avoiding it just because of concerns finding a parking spot.

Speaking of color Jerry, getting a little gray dude! Good to see ya. Gray is often associated with neutrality, boredom, and old age, but it can also convey formality, sophistication, balance, compromise, and intellect ( thought I better throw that in)
@tglass00003 ай бұрын
Ansel Adams did ok with grays. Perhaps Jerry could do a black & white video someday.
@JerryArizona3 ай бұрын
I think my grey mostly stands for old age. Tina likes it though and I’m too lazy to color it, so it works out OK for me.

Beautiful! You have an excellent eye for photography and video, great choice of music also. Was about to complain that your wife was not in the video, but she showed up at the end. She is always the highlight of your films. Especially when she flips you off. She’s got spunk, gotta love spunk. Of course I don’t have to live with her.

Haha! We give each other a hard time, all the time. I like to joke about how nice it was when we were first dating and she was nicer to me. Of course, I’ve always given her a hard time, so it’s only fair I get it in return.

We were in the Page area last week. Did the via Ferrata there. Then we stopped for a Sacred Edge tour on the way to Flagstaff. We saw the beautiful aspens from the highway.. Not the same as getting to hike through them, so we appreciated the video. Oh, and we’d spent a few days hiking in Sedona where we picked up a copy of The Elote Cafe cookbook. Is the food you prepared from a recipe of theirs?
@JerryArizona3 ай бұрын
Nice! No, I didn’t realize they had a cookbook. I’m really bad at following recipes anyway though. I usually just wing it.

Wonderful job capturing our Arizona beauty. I’m going next weekend when it turns cooler. Off topic, I was in Camp Verde yesterday hiking with my dogs and decided to check out El Patio. Well, I wanted dinner boxed up to go because I had the dogs and they told me they don’t do that. I was surprised but said ok maybe next time. I never heard of a restaurant not wanting to do this. Just a heads up to others, don’t drive the extra 30 miles if you can’t dine in. Was looking forward to it but I always have my dogs so Taco Bell was dinner.
@JerryArizona3 ай бұрын
Wait. They wouldn’t give you carry out? We get carry out from them all the to me. Strange.
@brendaelder63 ай бұрын
Well that’s the perks you get for being a local celebrity Jerry. You can get your dinner to go.
@JerryArizona3 ай бұрын
@@brendaelder6 I don’t think they know who I am. They’ve never acknowledged me (and I’ve never said anything to them.) I’ll usually call ahead on the drive and place an order and just give a first name. I’ve even seen other people pick up orders. Strange they wouldn’t give you a to go order.

I don’t know if you have ever been woken up by elk screeching in the middle of the night while backpacking it will scare the heck out of you. I was wondering if you ever tripped while filming some of those beautiful shots. Just getting so mesmerized by the beauty of the scenery that you forget where you’re stepping?

Love hearing elk. I could imagine it being startling to wake up to though. So otherworldly. I’ve definitely tripped more than once. But I try to watch where I’m going first, and what I’m shooting second.
