This is an oldie but a goodie❤ I have come back so many times to reference this video for the stitch and the brim and the decrease and bind off. 😂. I have the memory of a goldfish but I'm so glad you keep your older videos up because alot of others don't after a year..the refresh their channels and get rid of the old. I say keep the oldies uo here because there are always NEW BEGGINERS to loom knitting out there ❤🎉

Denise, thank you so much. You literally taught me how to knit and I couldn't thank you enough. Knitting has given me such an outlet and a way to relax, which is really something considering I have severe anxiety, depression, but knitting takes it all away. Thank you for your contribution to a much better life for me through knitting! It sounds cheesy, but it really is true! Your tutorials are the best by far!

Hmm... I used most of a medium ball of Charisma for the brim, and a larger ball for the body. I made a folded brim, though, not a single. I never measure by yardage, though, so I can't give a good estimation.

Does this work on smaller looms? I have a 36-peg loom, because I actually have a tiny head - 41-peg loom is just too big for me....! Thanks for your wonderful work, Denise - brilliantly easy to follow! You know what? Don't worry... I just checked out your column on your website (for this pattern) and I see you answered pretty much the same question from another member.... I really should double-check that before asking a dumb question - and I know your answer to THAT comment too! *LOL!!*
@LoomaHat8 жыл бұрын
What did you decide on Alexandra ? Because I TRULY believe you should try this with the 41 even if you have a tiny head (at this point - its been a while - I don't know what I have on the website).
@alexandraabraham66988 жыл бұрын
Well, Denise, thanks for coming back to me here.... :o) I actually did try it on the 36-peg - but I used e-wrap on the initial brim, because I know the u-stitch is a little tighter, (and the straight-across stitch is tighter still) so I was careful to ensure I loosened the thread so as to eliminate any tightness. You're right, it takes a little longer (I think you advised a fellow fan to loosen the yarn) and the hat is 'snug' but it does fit.... I think you're right though. I think knitting as you did, using the u-stitch, on a 41-peg loom, will also fit. Talking of which, do you know a 48-peg loom is totally unavailable in the UK? I can only get it via USA sources, and it costs an absolute bomb! But hey, such is life!

I feel like your channel has enough unique patterns that might help me with this problem. My boyfriend & I both have stretched earlobes. Mine are 1” and his are at 2”. He also has dreadlocks. Every time I’ve attempted a headband/ear warmer, it just doesn’t fit on our heads right, or it does but our ears stick out, which is what needs protection the most. Should I just add more rows for the needed extra materials?

Hi Denise! love your tutorials. I wanted to make a blanket using this stitch. I'm using a round loom to create and wanted to do I continue this stitch when I go the opposite direction or should I alternate rows with a U-Wrap? Hope that makes sense, love this stitch
@LoomaHat8 жыл бұрын
+Yvonne Gonzalez Yvonne - if you alternate with a U-wrap you will get a different stitch pattern - it's called a diamond lace: www.loomahat.com/diamond-lace-stitch ... to knit a blanket - you turn and start the stitch again from the beginning - every time you turn around. I believe there is a pattern link for a blanket on the post- click on Tina Edgar on the page: www.loomahat.com/mock-crochet-hat/
