Happy Saturday 😁 Denise. I have Question I want to stitch another knitted blanket to the one I'm making. I'm loom knitting it but I didn't think about it until a few days ago. How would I go about stitching the two blankets together to make one blanket? This is my first blanket for I'm a beginner. I love this pattern I will make this for myself I love reading and need book marks. These will be perfect. Ugh! It was going great and super pretty. Then I got to the part where you tighten the stitches from the cast on only to see that I messed something up right at the start!😕. I think I will try again. I think it will be better to use yarn with a bit of strechiness? Outcome overall is lovely!
@Amzie-kx1xr3 жыл бұрын
Hi Amy! The first two bookmarks I made, I had the same problem. It’s so crazy - because after the third, I got it! Now I’m down to tightening up the loose loops in about 5 minutes. It was taking me forever - I was totally overthinking it. I’m using cotton and seem to be okay, but it may help if you try with a yarn that doesn’t split as much as the 4-ply cotton until you get comfortable tightening if it’s messing you up. But I encourage you not to give up! It’s such an enjoyable project for sure! If I can do it, I bet you can too!
@amytarvin27763 жыл бұрын
@@Amzie-kx1xr Thanks for the encouragement! Cotton looks pretty! The 4ply does seem tricky though!☺️

Please help! I followed the pattern exactly, but after completing Rows 6-9, 9 times, the bookmark is only 4.5 " long. This makes no sense, because in the video, your bookmark looks double the size of mine. It seems I should be doubling the pattern for Rows 6-9, to exactly repeat 18 times, not 9????? Such a pretty pattern. Thank you!

Beautiful! I want to make it into a headband on a small gauge3/8 loom. I plan on using 15 pegs will that work with the pattern or should I use 18 pegs?
@LoomaHat2 жыл бұрын
Remember that the small gauge will give you a tighter and smaller stitch so you will need to add more stitches and more rows. I can’t give you a stitch or row count cus I haven’t tested the pattern on a small gauge. Hope that helps - some

Can you stem iron with starch spray too make book maker more stif?🤔
@LoomaHat2 жыл бұрын
You can but the starch has its limits. You might consider using a plastic sleeve to make it stiffer. Just buy a bookmark (that you don’t like 🙂) that has a plastic cover and replace it with your knitted one.

Hi, Denise. Is there a reason to decrease the final row prior to the cast off?! I find the ends are no longer even since you've decreased the final row. I definitely love the bookmark. I'm going to attempt without the decrease as I've made 3 so far and the each have the unevenness. Thank you!

Im confused about the nine repeats. Do I knit a variation of rows 6-9 together on each row or ?
@LoomaHat2 жыл бұрын
Hi 👋🏽 , no it’s not variations. You’re repeating row 6 then 7 then 8 then 9 then you do that again, 6,7,8,9 then again 6,7,8,9 - you do that for 9 times or how ever many times the pattern says. I haven’t seen this video in a while so I don’t recall the pattern but that’s how you work repeats in general.

@Amzie-kx1xr3 жыл бұрын
I usually don’t reply to comments like yours - but I’m actually using my free time to make these to sell to benefit a local non-profit in my area that helps women who are sexually exploited. Denise started Loomahat as a way for people to create inexpensive, handmade items that could be used for charitable reasons. Pick up a loom and try it sometime and do some good. It has nothing to do with any political ideation. So stop grasping at straws to get reactions for arguments on KZbin, and use that time to help those less fortunate. That’s all I’ve got to say. Have a blessed day.

@@Amzie-kx1xr yes, my youtube has been hacked for over a year. Its an awful experience. Wouldnt wish it on anyone. After sending youtube 10 000 private and polite feedback to address it, it just gets worse and tbh vile. I hope your bookmarks help. After doing some counselling with victims, that sad and uncomfortable truth is that young women are choosing these paths now more than ever. Most these days dont gave traffickers or 'pimps.' They have security they vet and choose. I do think women and girls need preventative education. I hope your fundraising contributes to that! Good luck hun!
