I’m using a Premier brand #4 cotton yarn, and all my knits are very loose. Would using a thicker/chunkier yarn work better?

My left (starting side when I weave) is very tight and my right side (turning side) is very loose, I have tried to compensate for that by purposefully weaving looser when I start and tighter when I come to the end and turn to come back, it is mot making a difference. Do you have any suggestions on how I can remedy this problem?

6:00 if you're starting your first row with the U stitch, how do you anchor it? since you willl end up on the opposite side, when you get to the end

The s loom is designed to go around the loom, not across. It cannot be done on an S loom.

Why is stockinette stitch different on a loom to knitting with needles? Why not just do 1 row Knit and 1 row purls?? and garter is 1 row knits and 1 row purls??? but that is stockinette!!
