Simply commenting to say that out of ALL of the tutorial channels I have EVER watched on youtube (and trust me, my adhd keeps me watching ALL the diy content), this one is the best. Easy to follow along and never ever dull.

This is great information. I unfortunately have acquired a lot of looms because I have wanted to use a different yarn and it wasnt right for the looms I had.

This is a good reminder about straight loom knitting especially old version of KK. Their sides gauge is not same as front and back pegs are because it’s not equal when the project came out with around method. I had to adjust to make it work on wet block and didn’t like the way it looks dues to that reason. That’s all. Thank you for making those first and second part of video. Even bonus for closed captioning. And I’m going to order the book!!!! I’m exciting!

So happy you're doing this!! I'm just starting with loom knitting after 45 years of crocheting. My hands can't do the work anymore and I was very upset, now I can still craft without hurting my hands!!!

Roxie M it’s my pleasure. I’m so glad you are enjoying this series. Loom knitting should be tremendously helpful for your hands. ☺️💞

Thank you for all information. I was frustrated about the yarn. I have Loops and Threads looms and thought about getting the Kb to work on but since you gave information I will hold on getting those and test different yarn.

Holy moly, you're great at explaining and presenting this stuff! Seems like you thought of all the right questions. I'm a crocheter who can knit but I don't enjoy knitting even though I really appreciate the quality of a finished knitted project. I'm excited to have stumbled upon loom knitting, but for some reason, buying a loom seems so much more confusing than buying the right hook or needles, so I appreciate the explanations here!

This is so awesome!!! I had surgery and needed to have something to do during recovery. The way you explain and present is great. I've always wanted to learn how to loom knit. I have carpal tunnel so I am feeling confident I will find success!!! With your lessons!!! 💜💜💜TY

I stumbled across your videos and just watched the first two intro and glad I did. You explained loom knitting so well especially the part of how to determine which yarn goes with the size loom. I do have one question - I have a loom that has 40 pegs with a 3/4" gauge. So directions I had come across uses looms that have 41 or 42 pegs. How do I work with the different peg numbers? Also if in the direction says to cast on 41 or 42 stitches but I have only 40 pegs, again how do I work with that? Thanks!

Hi Kristen. I am a "new born" to loom knitting and have found your videos awesome! Thank you so much!! My main question is to do with yarn. I'm in Australia and with yarn we go by ply, eg 4ply being thinner , 8ply, 12ply being thickest. From what I've seen anything that isn't known by a ply, they are just called chunky or bulky. I have 2 loom sets. one is a round loom set from Amazon annd looks like every other plastic round loom that I've seen most people using on KZbin or websites. The other one is Crafter Choice and are able to make different sized rectangles and comes with one round. The gauge of the Crafters Coice is smaller than the generic round loom set. The round loom is 56 pegs. My questions are, 1. which loom, the 56 peg smaller gauge round loom, or the 24 peg larger gauge round loom would be the best to start off with? 2. if I want to use the larger gauge loom and I only have the 8ply yarn available, can I still use it or is it too thin a yarn to use? I really want to get into loom knitting as from what I've been watching I find it interesting and quite different to normal knitting! Again, thank you for ALL your videos, not just loom knitting! I am so appriciative that you take the time to pass on your knowledge so others can learn a new craft!

I'm sorry to bother you but I have watched your videos and I just got mixed up and confused. Could you please just tell me the loom I need to make adult hats using worsted weight (4) yarn. I have been making hats on the round loom using bulky weight (5) and (6). Need lighter weight yarn here in Phoenix Arizona. I thank you in advance for your answer. Love all your classes. Wish I could join but can't afford it right now.

Ruth Ann Hornberger try the AllNOne loom the small gauge 3/8” spaced one to work with #4 yarn. It’s adjustable so you can make other sizes or the CinDWood looks Xloom in 3/8. If you get one that has 90-100 pegs you should be able to make most sizes of hats. The X loom is adjustable and versatile. However the KBLooms AllNOne will be the lighted weight of the two.
