I think the main problem is that before the 90's men were taught to respect women. During the 90's some women rejected the 'condescending' behaviour of men (opening doors, giving way on street, respect and politeness etc) in favour of independence. Some of us still hold these ancient values, but others changed to fit in with the new values in society. I'd say the best thing governments could do these days if they want to make a massive change to society is to teach manners and respect to all.

In a normal working environment this happens when you have a weak-willed boss who's terrified of having to deal with these issues, thinking it will reflect badly on HIM so he always puts it down to a 'personality clash' where the person voicing their concerns or submitting a formal complaint gets viewed as the 'bad guy'. Seen it SO many times.

@EdelweisSusie usually the boss is part of it. Plus even if you do retaliate your the one who is always blamed those saying it is a nonsense obviously do not know what full on bullying feels like we are not all the same. It usually ends up with that whole office or workplace bullying the one person so they are part of it and don't get bullied themselves. The enabling is the worst whether it's joining in or dismissing you and making out you deserved it and women bullying other women Is another dimension.

Janet was constantly interrupted by the host who insisted on inserting the word "allegedly" into every sentence - despite the fact that Janet was offering first-hand experiences and opinions. As if ITV is in any danger of being sued over their reporting and discussions about this topic! I think the Philip Schofield scandal proved that ITV (and everyone else in the media) can (and did) get away with extraordinary baseless accusations without any evidence at all. Rightly or wrongly, TV personalities can be accused of ANYTHING and instantly have their lives and careers ruined with no legal redress. Yes, some of them deserve it, but some don't. My point is that it insults the intelligence of the audience to shoe-horn in the word "allegedly" when everyone watching can understand that without any help! Why hasn’t Greg Wallace been pulled off our tv screens but Jay Blades has been?
@charlie_says38417 күн бұрын
Jay Blades was charged with domestic violence. Maybe look up facts before commenting.
@christinewilliams46937 күн бұрын
@ Jay Blades was actually charged with controlling and coercive behaviour by his wife NOT domestic violence, so YOU got your facts wrong! Plus it’s still an allegation as he pleaded not guilty but you thought you’d spread a false allegation. Plus Greg Wallace is accused of his bullying to multiple people. He should be off our screens now.

@@jewelssunsun9450- coercive not abusive and my point is that bullying is abuse, which is a crime, so Greg Wallace should be removed from our screens. Period.

@@christinewilliams4693 Yes, I understand the point you were making. I was simply informing you that controlling and coercive behaviour is classed as domestic abuse.

I agree. People like to jump onto the "i knew it all along" bandwagon. None of us know the guy, we were not present at the alleged incidents, so let's wait for an investigation to be carried out.
