Excellent video Mark. Thank you very much for posting. I was some what shocked when you say that there is no care for Dementia in the USA. In my country New Zealand there is state care. I am now retired in Thailand. Enjoy your videos. Thank you very much.

Drop the sugar, add in more fats [brain food] drop the carbs, do more fish veggies and proteins, you'll save your mind and your body will love you!! don't forget to do your parasite meds twice a year. The climate, pork, fruits and unwashed veggies have a lot of parasites, especially if you have pets which also carry a lot of parasites and worms... be vigilant!!! Good Luck out there...

Mark, great video. What I have noticed ex-pats between Japan and the Philippines is like day and night. Ex-pats in Japan more healthy and has more financial resources than the ex-pats in the Philippines with bad health and little financial resources. Basically I been living in Asia since May 1976. Those are my opinion. Keep those great coming.

For seniors, early dementia can start anytime. It only gets worse from there. No cure, as you say; but you can slow it down, somewhat. Something similar happened to my buddy, a long term resident of Japan. He's fortunate to have a rock-solid partner in his Japanese spouse. Sad your buddy didn't find such a gem. Hope she's held accountable someday.

Lose your mind is the last thing you don't want to be in if your here in the Philippines, but it happens and that could be tragic. Just make sure you have built a system where you have individuals you can count on and trust, like wife, girlfriend or relatives. It could be hard to do though, unless the person is one of a having a holy and well spirited demeanor.

Good subject that everyone should pay attention to. That’s why it’s important to have at least one close expat friend that has your information and will check on you occasionally. I’ve seen expats partner up with a Filipina and they seem good together but when things gets bad physically or mentally they take advantage of the expat. Many are caring and dependable partners until the end but there are always ones who takes advantage.

As seniors get older, the percentage that get Alzheimer's disease increases dramatically, like over 20%, so don't assume that just because you don't have relatives in their 50s and 60s who got it makes you immune. More people need to plan for this than you have alluded to in your video.
