I have had this model for 20 plus years now! Very happy with it. Was looking at the new design of the liberty which looks very nice. But I don’t feel I would gain much by going with the new design other than looks. Also FYI - I over heated my stove at the 5 year mark and it was technically out of warranty but the company stood behind the stove. I just had to pay $200 to ship the unit back and they completely went through it 110%. New glass, new paint job, fixed where it had overheated, polished all the brass, new fire brick and a new door gasket. It was like getting a new stove at the 6 year mark. I highly recommend this USA company!

We recently bought the Library Lopi wood burning stove. It's definitely a beautiful stove, and yes it heats half of our 1900 sq ft home. Just like we thought it would do. We had a old late 1980s Blaze King, we loved it. But it had 2 small cracks. We gave it to our neighbors for their garage, they love it. I don't care about the low-emission stoves. I don't believe there is a real climate change issue. I "do" care about breathing in all the soot and dust the new Library lopi creates in my house. Wow I can't believe how much "soot" and dust is in my house on a daily basis. Screw this low-emission bull crap. We're breathing in high emissions every day now! Library lopi stove is Beautiful. And worst of all, "Bad for your health and the environment inside your home"! Of course the sells person doesn't tell you about how soot and ash goes up your nose on a daily basis! And isn't that what really counts! 🙄😠

It’s really wonderful! I love watching it build back up from its wonderful coals in the morning while I sip my coffee.

I'm looking at the smaller version of this stove. I hope I'll be able to get one. Have you actually cooked anything on the stove top yet?

I find that ours smokes when you open the door unless the airvent is completely closed but it's a great heater as you said.
@themnhomestead4 жыл бұрын
I always own the to flu all the way before I open the door and that seems to help with the smoke. Hopefully you’ll be able to get yours figured out. Cheers to being warm through the winter!

I just bought a Lopi Revere, I have not hooked it up yet. We are so excited since its very cold 🥶 here in the California High Desert 🌵. Excellent video

The vent and the damper are supposed to opened all the way before you open the door per their own video and manual. By doing this, it creates the maximum draft up the chimney.

Gotta open the damper on the flue

I went with the blaze king princess instead of the Liberty because of burn times. I wanted the liberty though, I have a 24 foot cowling and get way too much draft. How long burn times do you get?

Good brand aswell as a great model. Must say though I'm surprised you didn't spring on the ht2000 or ht3000 by drolet. More heat, longer burn times, extremely overbuilt also can be found at a very surprising price. At the end of the day though there will always be the what ifs haha did you's consider the ht2000 and chose that over it out of curiosity
@themnhomestead3 жыл бұрын
We took a peek at the ht2000 but we liked the look of the Lopi Liberty much more and still has great specs. We’ve loved it so far!

@@themnhomestead dam fine stove you have there. I only meant it as many have picked up the drolet on sale for 1100 bucks give or take a little.

Does this have cold air intake?? Looks beautiful 😍
@themnhomestead3 жыл бұрын
Thanks, we love it! We haven’t set a cold air intake up yet; when we first put this in we had so many projects lined up (that hadn’t changed much!) that we just got it in as is. As we finish up other projects, we’re considering adding one but we haven’t decided yet. It has worked wonderfully this whole time without one.

What is the square footage of your home ? We have a 1800 and my husband wants the liberty . I think that may be too much stove . What are your thoughts ? Thank you 😊
@themnhomestead3 жыл бұрын
About 1200, so smaller than you. We also thought it was too big for us (and it probably is!) but it heats us up quick and it has great temp control and we just love it!

So cooking on it, does it scratch the finish, or you ok with it? I just installed Lopi Endeavor. I have private set. I don't feel yet it will get hot enough with the trivets.... choice cook, or keep it nice?
@markscott60907 ай бұрын
I have an Endeavor and it will fully boil a whole chicken as fast as a stove top burner, once it’s up to temperature. The stove finish is very durable.
