I feel like one of the coolest things about the Lord Huron fan base is that everyone seems to have the same appreciation for not only the beauty of the music ,but the amount of talent of these guys have, the music is cosmic, haunting, happy, sad, and at times something that reminds me of something out of a spaghetti western. Been a fan for years and I’m still amazed every time these guys release music how great it is

I'm 65 years old now. My daughter turned me on to Lord Huron a while back but, how much of the Moody Blues can anyone else hear in this lovely peice? Are the violins a hired group of musicians, or is that the beautiful sound of a mellotron? I tried to research it but couldn't hit the right trail. It sounds like sweeping violins. The strings really bring out the melodic mood of the peice. While watching the video, It appeared to me the key influences for this song, might be in his changing attire (?) Or his tributes to these people he's dressed as. (?) Can we name the great musicians and performers of the past? I also was pleasantly surprised to see a familiar tape machine in the beginning of the video. I believe it's a Teac 3340-S I bought one back in 1975 or '76 as I was an aspiring musician. It gave me the power to create my own music as well as record the better bands in my area. Ahhh, those long lost memories!!

I dig these guys so much that I almost don't want to know too much about them for fear of anything somehow altering or skewing the place that their music takes me. I wish them all the success in the world, but at the same time I want them to remain mysterious! Does that make sense?

It certainly does make sense

I don't know how, but Lord Huron always manages to capture that whimsical, pure, magical beauty that I feel every time I go adventuring in the mountains or really anywhere outdoors. Truly stellar work that takes me away every time I hear it. Can't wait for this full album!

Why am I sobbing? Is this a natural response to hearing this song for the first time?

Lord Huron has managed to make me cry a few times with their other songs, but this one makes me tear up the fastest. This is beautiful. My lovely boyfriend and I love your music. Thank you so much for giving us something to bond over. ♥️♥️♥️

I know this comment may not get viewed- but I just want to appreciate the general trajectory of this band. LH- you have continued to make better and better music with each release. Ends of the Earth was just the beginning (ironic in a sense eh?)... many bands that I love have lost their confidence because of a “rollercoaster” trajectory, and I hope you don’t lose yours. You’re all truly continuously onto something and that is uniquely appreciated by your fans and beyond in the short and long term. A special trait and I hope you recognize that as you continue to work!! Cheers, R

Someone asked me what genre this band was. The answer is yes.

What I've always loved about LH is how they can evoke bygone music and times while at the same time being original and avoiding being derivative.

This song represents for me the feeling of falling and being in love with everyone and everything around you and in turn finding your love for yourself all over again. It's truly a beautiful and magical song, to evoke such strong feelings in me every single time I listen to it. It just puts me at ease instantly❤️

This song honestly is one of the greatest arts. Theres just cries every time i play this on Spotify. because im so proud of him and whoever he is with, they're talent is beyond. And also cries of longing because this song reminds me of my childhood and everyone and everything that has happened back then.

Leave me where the light pours down through the trees like rain Let it wash over me like a flood, let it ease my pain Let it drown me For a while I was held by the myth of the Lost Highway In the spell of the night and the lights of the Great White Way I ain't lonely, are you? Send me to the mountains, let me go free forever I'll be running through the forest dancing in the fields like this Leave me where the moonbeams carve through the leaves like blades Lay me in the tall-grown grass in a shallow grave Let it have me I've got a place in the world and I found out where Out in the night all alone in the Way Out There I ain't lonely, I'm long lost Say goodbye Long lost Out of my mind Long lost Send me to the mountains, let me go free forever I'll be running through the forest dancing in the fields like this Send me to the mountains, let me go free forever I'll be running through the forest dancing in the fields like this Long lost Long lost Long lost
