Lord Jamar: Mase Turned to God to Avoid Street Sh*t

www.vladtv.com - Lord Jamar recently sat down with VladTV and shared his opinion on Mase returning to rap full time, saying that the Harlem rapper-turned-preacher-turned rapper has been teetering with that decision for years, and that more than likely he became a reverend as a way to avoid some street confrontations.
Jamar also spoke on Snoop smoking in the White House, calling it "gangsta" and saying that as a smoker, there's something attractive about puffing where you shouldn't, and he then tells the story of smoking weed during his own flights to Europe.

The issue is not "turning to God", but the continuous flip flopping and then attempt at merging the two worlds by Mase is the problem. He gave his artists the standard deal that every label gives their artists. where majority of rappers mess up is that they don't have good business sense and a large portion of them happen to be lazy, they simply don't want to put in the work to be successful. everyone says he cheats his artists, but i can never recall seeing an interview where an artist on his label didn't get the money they deserved. no one talks about how biggie was well taken care of, 112, faith, carl Thomas, mario Winans, the entire hitmen squad, etc....
