I know, I somehow lost the issue and slighted into a new theme 😂😂 But well.. maybe there are not enough bars to say, this is plagiarism. I mean, the juries have to be professional... I hope... Though the composers of "Tattoo" should clear this..!!! I was quite mad about the result of ESC 2023, because I couldnot loose the thoughts that the composers are making fun of pple, who doesn't know Mika Newton and of pple, who knows about plagiarism... Besides this is a song competition, not a favorite-singer competition. So I am very sorry to Loreen that I am not really happy about her win, although I actually love her. BUT!!! This new version of "Tattoo" is.... just more then awesome...! 😍 Do you agree?

Well, one of the theories is that both Mika Newton and Loreen's team used the same song composition programme, which came up with the same bridge for the songs, because apparently, it is very common to use AI in song writing these days. But there is a worse case than Loreen's.. Alexander Rybak, who also was a winner, was publicly accused by a Turkish musician for plagiarising his song. Do you know that composer of tattoo Thomas G:son did plagiarism in the past. It is settled with a cash agreement when treaten to go to court!!! The song ESC 2001 of Sweden (Listen to your heartbeat 5th place) had a copy of Belgium 1996 ESC song (Liefde is een kaartspel)... The Belgian composer John Terra is since 2003 then also credit as writer of the sweden plagiat song. 😮 😢 G:son did it again! There schould be a jail for those thiefs...

Well... for me "Tatoo" is a mix of Mika's "В плену" and Pont Aeri's "Flying Free" (0:25-0:34 specifically) - exactly the same notes. And of course Abba's slower melody "The winner takes it all".

It is all a bit too much of a coincidence. He has done it before with a Belgian ESC song and paid a fine after a court case. They surely count on the chance that it doesn't become an issue. Or, but this is speculation, they already paid Mika for it upfront. If this becomes an issue anyway, they just pay. From all the profits they make from winning ESC that will be peanuts for them. You can't make me believe they are unaware on the existence of this song. They are simply that arrogant. As an artist they should be ashamed, no matter if it is technically plagiarism or not. We all know who the real winner is.

I dont think there is any song you can write today that will not resemble a couple of songs elsewhere in the World. This is a known fact. Even wordings will have a thousand resemblances when compared to other songs. Tattoo along with the words and the melody and the performance makes it a totally different song. I listened to the other sung and I will not even play that one on rewind again simply because it is not my cup of tea. The same can be said for essays, novels, articles. If we were to compare each time if someone has written the same story then we will not get anything read, written or sung. The packaging of tatoo is totally unique and the haters need to appreciate this talented amazing Queen Loreen. A well deserved win for Loreen.

tempo is not meaningful. The progression of chords and melody is meaningful. At this point, you see the same progression of chords and melody in both songs. Just because the part is not long enough, this song is not plagiarism. But the intention of plagiarism is clearly there. And I dislike it.

Und ich finde die krasse Performance auch richtig genial, aber wenn man's mich fragt,,, ich bin ja ein Musiker und ich lege mehr Wert auf das Musikalische. Darum kann Performance egal geil sein, aber wenn mir ein Lied nicht gefällt, warum auch immer, dann ist es auch nicht meins. und ja, ein Lied, welches vlt Komponente anderer Lieder enthält, kann auch so bearbeitet & gemischt werden, so dass es sich so fein und toll anhört. Da sag ich nichts zu (vielleicht xD) aber ganz ehrlich, ich persönlich finde zwar die Melody von Tattoo schön, aber die Instrumentalisierung hätte anders sein können. Für mich klingt es nach so ziemlich billige Pop Nummer. Wenn Du mal mein Channel besuchen würdest und die andere Version von Tattoo dir mal anhören würdest,,, ich fänd die Version viel viel schöner, emotionaler und harmonievoller.

Mit einer Dance Nummer nicht mehr, stimmt schon (dafür wird sie dann auch zu alt). Tattoo wird wohl in UK auf 1 maschieren und damit Euphoria überholen -zurecht, finde ich. Ich finde ihre Stimme in Tattoo auch gereifter - sie hat den nötigen Unterton für den Song...wahrscheinlich auch deswegen die "hellen" Beats als Kontrast. Congrats you found a collection of songs that you think resembles Loreens. I can tell you none of these are close to identical and also this is how every writer writes songs. You have to hear a sound/melody to know if you like it or not. Then you apply your own set of preferences in music of all the things you decided that you like, tones, chord patterns, key signatures etc. Do people really think that music comes out of nowhere and you just completely make up unique music from your head? No, it's very complex and you usually refer to the songs that you heard in your life and apply different things which make up unique combinations. It is only a problem where there are too many similarities (not only. one topline melody section) and you can't dispute the fact that a writer has taken another's song's material and applied it to their own, cause there are too many similarities to be a coincidence.

@@korjunpiano Is it really identical tho? I hear that the topline pretty much have the same notes in that time period (In another key tho). But have you analyzed the chord structure? And ofcourse you can dissapointed in Loreen as the winner, since music is mostly subjective. But i think you are dissapointed in the winner in bad faith since you imply some sort of cheating or wrong doing. And my point is that every song probably has 10 second sections where it (almost) sounds identical to another song. Ive found a couple. You just have to listen to enough songs, there are so many songs out there that uses the same notes and in some parts the exact same combinations of chords, top lines etc.
