The DoL quest in tuliyollal gave some good insight on male viera tradition too. Flavored text if you are a viera yourself. Always a good day when we get more Viera lore

Here I was hoping Dawntrail would give us 1 intact Viera / Shetona village that you could explore on the source. Instead we got 2 bleak / destroyed maps, with the usual "they are out there" info. Like we literally came too late to see it... thanks Yoshi-P!

They haven't the required license per ff12 release version. Headgear is illegal per Dalmascan decree.

I didn't know "Cherry" was a possible lore name for Veena separated from their village. My main OC is a Miqo'te, but I gave her a Viera girlfriend and, when trying to figure out a lore-friendly name, named the Viera "Grape" because I like grapes. Like, no surname. Just "Grape". Lol I'm happy to know I hit on something.

Viera on average live closer to 500 years with the upper limit unknown exactly, in SB the Vi state they live 3-4 times long as Elezen on average. And the word average is always a problem in fantasy settings, cause we know from the real world what an average thing is in statistic. So seeing how many of them would die early due to monster attacks or battle it's in the realm of possibility that a Viera could live up to 700 if not even 1000 years in extreme cases.

@ciphereightayumi_k8259 well the problem is that we do not have any official lore that gives us a concrete number. And the information we do get is always in relation with something else (like the Elezen comparison). On top of that we always get stuff 'usually' and 'average', the average real word human lives about 80, yet the record holders go into 110 and 120. So again if we would apply that ratio to Viera, we get the 700 I mentioned. That is why I stand by my interpretation that a 1000 year old is possible as Viera don't age or age very slow compared to us, wrinkly humans. Of course, until we get an official number from SE

@@ciphereightayumi_k8259 The quote from Almet is "We Viis would easily live to see three of your elven lifetimes." and the term 'easily' being used here suggests that 360+ years isn't even particularly noteworthy. I do agree however that a millennia is out of the question. It isn't stated to be an average, it is stated to be normal, so statistics play no part here. I would put it around 500 at the upper limit.

I always thing that it’s weird that their hunters, their based of rabbits which are herbivores.

When the rabbits become big enough to not be scared of everything hunting them, they decide it's time for revenge and go hunting everything else instead. Really though, it has always been kind of an amusing contrast between real world bunnies, and almost any humanoid bunny. Almost all of them that I've seen tend to be FAR more like predators. Maybe it's just a matter of them essentially being humans, except with the heightened senses that come with the bunny parts, and any human who had such would be a far more dangerous predator than those without.
