@@trashpanda3040 well Karen Travis‘s books she state what happens on E-DAY is that Dom lost his kids, His mum and dad are presumed dead and it’s never stated but it’s more than likely they were killed because they don’t make an appearance ever again and his mother and father-in-law died on E-Day at the same time as his kids because they where Looking after the kids, so Don and Maria could have some quiet time together

Fun fact, the reason why they made a MK2 lancer (aka chainsaw lancer) is because the bayonet wasn't strong/sharp enough to easily pierce the skin of the hard skinned locusts. Someone (I forgot who) had made a suggestion that a chainsaw weapon would be efficient at getting through the skin thus making the lancer MK2.

Not quite. Tai killed a grub with a chainsaw with ease. Marcus saw it happened and took note of it and went to Adam Fenix about it for an idea for weapons. The Lancer Mk II was born.

although the retro lancer bayonets weren’t that effective they did come to realize that if you just run really fast & hit the locust hard enough you can pierce the skin, but a chainsaw lancer is always more efficient, effective & badass for killing grubs.

I recently started playing through the Gears series, and honestly one was SUPER short, but I can see why it took off, especially back in 2009. The sequels are much better than the first, and it really makes it feel like you are just bred to kill Locusts.

I’ve just realized we won’t be seeing the ole crew we’ll most likely get introduced to new people and from what all the comic books show E-Day was a dark day indeed so I kinda expect a lot of people to die along the story and the only familiar face we’ll see if they didn’t re design him is RAAM he’ll be younger and a lot more blood thirsty I wouldn’t be surprised if they give him the Darth Vader treatment where you come across him and you have no choice but to run and hide straight up horror man I hope this games good

Marcus and Dom were buddies before EDAY because there's a comic of them near the end of the pendulum wars because Dom's brother died at the battle of aspho fields and there's a mention of marcus being buddies with both of them ❤which as a diehard gears of war fan I adore I grew up playing these games I wish they could retcon gears 5 and 6 because gears of war 3 was supposed to be the ending 5 and 6 makes Dom's death feel like he died for nothing but to save his friend😢

@@NipplWizard well in the lore (as it stands now) they developed the MK II after I believe Tai used a chainsaw to defend himself against a drone and found it incredibly effective. So if they follow the actual canon timeline I’m pretty sure the MK II wasn’t built until around 2 years after E-day.

Back when GOW was on Xbox live was my fav. The controls and response time of your character and actions was also my fav. Gears 1 started off with Marcus in prison a few years after EDay. It'll probably end where gears 3 started (the flashback sequence )with Marcus defending East Barricade Academy, Defying his orders, left believing Adam died and with the swing of a gavel. Cut to black, credits.
