★ 🇨🇭 Wil - Weinfelden - Romanshorn cab ride, Mittelthurgaubahn Switzerland [08.2019]

We accompany a Thurbo GTW today along a picturesque route linking two of SBB's main lines. The line was owned and maintained by a private operated by the name of Mittelthurgaubahn, whose network continued from Weinfelden to Konstanz in Germany.
Today however, we continue from Weinfelden through to Romanshorn.

What a lovely early morning ride! Though that set seems to have picked up a bit of a wheel flat on the leading bogie. Yet again, it's so interesting how on these branch lines, you'll find industrial premises with their own sidings and wayside stations will have sidings that are clearly still in use, just like it used to be in Britain up until the 1960s.

A lovely ride through Switzerland although there were no mountains along the way. That's all right. Its not necessary that Switzerland should only be known for its mountains only, its scenic beauty on the plains with the lovely green fields all around and the houses. They too are unique in nature. Nice to enjoy an early morning ride with light mist all around. Looking forward to your upcoming videos.

At 38:30 you can see a new Stadler train with Swedish text “Mälartåg”. Those trains run in the Stockholm area and they regularly pass by my window where I live.

Erlen is the Main commissioning center for Stadler in Switzerland. at 23:30 you see the Busnang Head Factory of Stadler. Also, ive worked on that Train your mentioning :D

a great ride through soem of swiss scenery we don't see that often. Small request. when the train stops in a platform could you stop the camera and then film once it departs again?

Thanks. I do that with most videos (or sometimes fast forward the breaks). Some people have requested to see more of what happens in between and in this case it was easier because I had a seperate audio file that needed synchronising every time I made a cut.

The camera is wide angle. That always makes the trains look like they are going faster than they are. Wide angle is infinitely better than zoomed in though, where even very high speed trains look like they are crawling at a walking pace.
