★ 🇨🇭 Worb Dorf - Bern cab ride, Switzerland [13.6.2011] (Film by Andreas Perren)

As part of the Bern S-Bahn network, the Bern-Solothurn regional transport (RBS) operates a total of 4 narrow-gauge lines in the Bern - Worb / Solothurn area, including 2 lines from Bern to Worb. In this video we travel as a special train on the line from Worb Dorf via Worblaufen to Bern RBS, filmed in the driver's cab of the historic "Pendler Pintli" vehicle. This service was especially ordered for the purpose of filming the line. That makes it unique in being one of very few journeys without the otherwise necessary stops for passengers.
The RBS serves the Unterzollikofen and Solothurn train stations with the 2 other lines.

That was an interesting ride. Note that the train runs on tracks that service an industrial lead for some ways (note the 1,000 mm and 1,435 mm gauge tracks overlapping each other).

Thanks for a video of this most interesting line. A metre and mixed gauge line with very well kept permanent way and very little in the way of fences! It puts the UK’s railways to shame.

Die Filmfahrt erfolgte an einem Sonntagvormittag, wo es - zumindest damals - einen 30-Minuten-Takt gab. Die Kreuzung bei 18.05 war ein Zug, der in Richtung Solothurn oder nach Unterzollikofen unterwegs war.

It seems that the tracks and station in Boll-Utzigen have been moved about 60-70 m to the south since this video was filmed, eliminating many driveway level crossings in the village. This section is alsmost unrecognisable compaired to the current situation.
