A lot of people saying black didn’t develop fast enough or castle. But after e6 he pretty much had a good French defense since his “bad” Bishop has moved Bg4 pinning the knight. He properly moved the Bishop back to g6 similar to the center counter/Scandinavian defense and I know for a fact that in some French lines the King doesn’t castle and in fact moves to f7. Very informative game. Whites attack lost steam and then he blundered a rook on time.

Barry Phillips it is now clock move meaning...you can touch, move piece than move it back and move a different piece as long as you don't hit your clock ! Also you can take king to win , for example if clocks are running low and players are moving quickly and one player moves a " pinned " piece blocking check the opponent can take the King and win ...these new rules are only in blitz of course

7:33 I think the best and more aggressive move was Re1. The threat is a mate in 2. Trading the Knight was way too passive, also the kid has advantage of the number of pieces, so the man should have protected that disadvantage and use the advantage of having a queen.
Even if it is a beginner's match, I found it to be very entertaining.

7:02 White played the moves in the wrong order. 1. exf7+ and if 1. ... Kxf7, then 2. Rxc6 bxc6 3. Ne5+ picking up the bishop on g6, so getting 2 minor pieces for the rook, and the queen and knight with black's king not safe would be better than what happened in the game.
@TimothyRyanFisher6 жыл бұрын
My 11 year old will often beat me because he makes unconventional, non theory moves and catches me off guard. I think some times the beginners mind can triumph because they are not bogged down by chess dogma. I seem to lose online by following dogma, times when I take a chance and deviate I often win. Great game, every dad should play chess with their kids, it’s a game that teaches a lot about life, tactics, planning, strategy, what a beautiful game. I play a lot with my youngest, we love it, shit talk the whole time.
