My parents, grand fathers were diabetic type 2 and all of them thin . Also they all had standing work . They may have had visceral fat but they all were really lean to look and all had standing jobs . they all may not have had any muscle mass. I do see people with diabetes reversing by just reducing weight. My thinking there is a different type of diabetes that we could be missing.

It’s hard to loose some weight while on insulin is it still possible to loss weight I’m type 3 c medical I still have a tiny bit of the head of pancreas left working but on insulin so weight gain faye uk

Weigh loss definitely infers better health except for the few rare exceptions.. Insulin sensitivity in particular I would suspect that the 'fat threshold' is largely related to the overall number of fat cells The body generally only produces fat cells at 2 points in ones life.. The first year, and late teens. Once filled to a certain point, the excess fat becomes problematic. Spills over into more and more of your organs.
