Nice rig. The toughest thing about 1/5 scale is still having a good place to run them, jumps and scale trophy truck terrain can be hard to come by. But the rig looks and sounds amazing bud.

Thanks! Very true. It’s hard to find the right terrain for these beasts. Probably a reason why I don’t get to run mine as much as I’d like but there are locations near me that are a good fit to run. I like to jump. Seems to be the reason everyone converts them and put huge engines on them so they can run fast on flat terrain. Just not for me. Still worth owning one. There’s just something about at 1/5th😊💪

Yes it’s amazing how good this engine sounds with the Bartolone racing pipe. It sounds so good! This is the stock crank case from the CY 26 but the engine is definitely far from stock

Thanks bro I appreciate it and as soon as it stops raining you better bust your big boy out and do some running. I’m using the Elcon clutch system and had to readjust it but I believe it’s engaging anywhere from 8 to 10,000 RPMs

Hey why is your kill switch set to 4v with a 2s lipo? i heard 4 beeps pause 1 more beep. should be 6 beeps then 1. I could be wrong.

You know what bro, your absolutely right. Was running my NIMH battery and switched to the killer RC 2S recently and never switched the settings on it. I know you shouldn’t when using a spectrum but I change the glitch sensitivity to level two but I never switched the voltage to 6v. One thing I forgot to do. Good eye and good ear. Great vids bro and an even better job on the rig!!!! Between Professor Botajell and yourself I’m foaming at the mouth for a 5th scale.... I’m torn between a 5T, MTXL, 5B or a Baja. As a newbie I’m not sure what to get really. I finally got into nitro an lovin it so I think it’s time for a big boy 5th scale. Any advice on what to get as a 5th scale???? I love to wrench an pull stuff apart an put it back together sooooo just not sure on what I should get.

Thanks a lot bro! It’s always a good time when I have my son Louis with me RCing. Amsoil is good stuff but I personally don’t like the spit back he gives you when you mix 25 to 1. I’ve been a small engine mechanic for 20 years of my life and I’ve seen this HP ultra protect hi CC revving engines 13 to 15,000 RPMs that get abused on a daily basis and it protects very well. For this CY engine It works perfectly and I’ve been beating the hell out of this engine for the past seven years and it has protected it phenomenally. If I ever move up to a bigger engine or read case I will definitely consider using a different synthetic two-stroke oil

LOL. This pump has been there for many years. CAM2 Fuel is hard to come by where I live fortunately for me this is only a mile down my block but it is located right outside an industrial area where there are a lot of engine builders in the hot Rod industry and they use this fuel. People travel from far and wide to use this pump and yes it is real 100 octane but not in the best neighborhood. Believe me it is because you know right away by the smell

You need to run klotz marine full synthetic...best oil out there ask any 2stroke guy

Yes Klotz is very good oil. Some engines specifically require it. This is the stock CY 26 with a 28.5 big bore kit. When I step up to a bigger engine or a Reed case I will consider using a different synthetic two-stroke oil but I have been a small engine mechanic for many years of my life and this STIHL HP ultra is top quality. I have seen it protect many different types of two-stroke engines especially high cc chainsaw engines that are abused on a daily basis that rev 13 to 15,000 RPM. It is a combination I have used for years in this engine and has worked phenomenally.

It works great. It is outdated at this point but I have about 10 of my vehicles linked on this remote. One day I will get a futaba setup and convert everything over. I have my super bee killer bee Killswitch set on Glitch Sensitivity 2.

Yes. Like I explained I mixed a 25:1 ratio. 2 gallons of mix to 1 gallon of fuel. It’s a thick mix! 👍

Thanks bro. Yes nitro can be finicky and there are some tips that can make your life a lot easier but yes I do believe that two-stroke engines are a little bit easier to deal with. Just a glorified Weedwhacker engine.

Thanks. Yea I have pushed this motor as far as it can go. Just the way it sounds when it’s literally giving all its got! Lol. Clutch is not burning up. It’s the composite ELCON clutch system. Just need to adjust Engagement RPM. Unfortunate for this motor it’s kinda of where it should be. Still hauls ass and does what it needs to do to make it happen.! Thanks for watching

Well you can believe it because you can see it. First of all I have been a small engine mechanic for over 20 years of my life so don’t tell me I have a lot to learn. Second, this engine is a glorified Weedwhacker engine and I could literally take it and bolt it right onto a bell shaft housing if I wanted to. Third, This oil is NOT cheap or inexpensive. If you price it out by fluid ounces it cost just the same as any high quality fully synthetic 2 stroke oil. I stand by STIHL products because I’ve seen proof everyday in my shop that this oil can protect an engine in the most extreme environments. Tree guys burying chainsaws in wood all day long Running 15,000 RPM (aircooled) on hot summer and cold winters days! The reason I had to rebuild this engine after 7 years was due to a failed air filter system and had dirt ingestion. Check out my rebuild videos for this engine and see what I’m talking about. Maybe you’ll learn something. Anyways have a good day!

I wouldn’t say that it’s slow as hell. It’s a 45 pound beast that goes 50mph. OBR Makes incredible engines but is not the end solution. This is an EDRC engine. One day I will build a bigger engine with more power
