Wish there was a video like this for the hammer rey lol. Im looking for a similar method quick removal for that truck. This video has saved me a ton of time that's for sure!

@@RoadsideRC Not interested in it at the $299 sale price? Fiqured you'd be all over that but I get it. Gotta definitely pick and choose the battles lol
@RoadsideRC10 ай бұрын
@@cwatson42785 I think it is a GREAT deal at that price. I just don't need that style of truck. They aren't as useful here where I live.

One of those long screws in the front bum stripped halfway out on mine. Do you know of any tips how I could get it out? I'm thinking drill the head off maybe or do you know any better/ easier ways? Thanks for this video! I just traded for this one and right away a headache lol
@RoadsideRC2 жыл бұрын
Are you using MIP tools? A good set of tools might help. Otherwise, I would drill the head off, separate the part, and then unscrew the bolt.

@@RoadsideRC Yeah funny you say that, I was just telling my buddy I spent thousands of dollars on rcs and I work on them with a cheap set of 15$ hobbypark Amazon drivers lol. Go fiqure! I'm gonna order a set of the protek drivers. I heard they are pretty good too and I think a little cheaper thank mip ones. Think the protek ones are pretty good? I appreciate the help and advice. I subbed 🍻
@RoadsideRC2 жыл бұрын
I've never used the Protek. Time to not cheap out and go for the MIP!
@cwatson427852 жыл бұрын
@@RoadsideRC Lol right on brotha. The proteks are actually more expensive but I realize mip have proven performance and reliability. The rc network did a video on here comparing the 2. Only reasons I was thinking of the proteks are the handle design has a spinning wheel on the end and look a little more modern (shallow I know lol) and you can also replace the tips if you ever need to. I think between the 2 you really can't go wrong to be honest. One of those no wrong answer lol. But I'm gonna bit the bullet and invest the almost 100$ in the driver's and also a set of tips for my drill. Thanks for the advice!

@@RoadsideRC Hey buddy sorry to bug you again but not sure if you took your limiting straps off yours or not but I'm guessing on mine that has them I need to remove the top screws that hold them in? Edit I ended up getting it off. It was a real pita but eventually I freed it up 👍🍻

@@ishtiaqahmed3629 Awesome! I keep thinking if getting the Super Baja Rey. Really cool looking truck, and I hear it is VERY durable.
@ishtiaqahmed36295 жыл бұрын
@@RoadsideRC Yes its more durable as it's more stable in high speed and the body and cage covers the tyres and suspension components.
@bicketybamRC5 жыл бұрын
That's quicker than what I do. I remove the body, the front shock tower and then the cage. Good to see you can get it off without removing the body and shock tower. 😎👊👍

Biggest watch-out is just how hard you bash it. I put this truck through a lot...and it really wasn't designed for it. First breakages: - front spindles - ESC mount - you will want to reinforce it ASAP - battery box door
