Losing a Parent | Dealing With Grief

You are right! Grief can be all over the place. I lost my mom at 20. I have accepted the cards that were dealt to me and I’m okay with that. But I do get jealous of other ppl and their moms on Mother’s Day or sad when her birthday comes around . But I don’t stay in that place for long. I have a moment , feel it, release it, and move on. Because at the end of the day, the day gotta end. ❤

Sorry about the lost of your dad. I lost my mom, 3 years ago, 2 days after Mother’s Day and the day before my wedding anniversary. It never gets easy! It’s not easy loosing a parent!

You're calling me out today! My heart is with you. I resonate; I lost my mother at 16 and I have a strained relationship with my father. I try to rekindle that relationship with him but there is no effort on his side. My grandmother recently advised me to reach out again and I've been feeling frustrated. I want to give it a rest, at the same time you don't know when someone passing day is. You gave me more perspective to sit with and for that I thank you.

My dad was like that too! He took care of almost everyone. He paid for his daughter’s half sisters to go to school in Jamaica

My mom passed on December 27,2023. My mom's birthday was December 28th and my birthday was December 30th
