As a Life Coach I am constantly telling people that there's always a positive side to every situation and almost every time I say it people come back with "Oh yeah well what about if someone dies?"
A lot of people believe that I am naive to the idea of how death can effect us as people. In this video I discuss some of the loses I have been through in my lifetime so far and how I've dealt with each one.
Yes death sucks but there are positive and negative ways of dealing and looking at losing someone you're close to.

Oh, your pain is so visceral. Whilst the right words can be good to hear when you're suffering, what is more important is that someone - anyone - is willing to be there: no words are needed from them - just time and presence. I've lost faaaar too many people in my life and I find it good just to recall the great things about them, the things shared with them. The pain may not ease, but you do learn to live life without their physical presence - you have to; there is no choice and that is the only real thing you have to accept.

In 2014 I lost my Partner to Pancreatic Cancer it does hurt and the emptiness and survival guilt. I took care of him for two years at home around the clock. Still very painful

I feel you, Robi. There really isn't anything but time that help us to move from deep despair to a place where moving forward is at least possible. It's been 20 years since I lost a one true love to suicide. The pain never went away for me, but time has allowed the "edges" to soften a little bit. I felt guilt for not doing more; guilt for not loving more; guilt for not knowing. It sounds as if you did EVERYTHING for your Partner. I feel your pain and emptiness, and though it will "soften", it seems to be a life "burden"; once loved, always loved. Death doesn't change that. Live with the feeling of 'chance' that you might be together again!

I got triggered😢😢😢😢😢😢. Since my grandma passed away in 2008 when I was 10 yrs old my life changed for the worst, i never thought I'd be happy again. She raised me, she cared for me more than anything. She would tell me her life challenges n how she overcame them. She taught me how to cook, do laundry at a tender age. My gran protected me at all costs, I can't recall most of the stuff I was young. A part of me believes that she knew I was different she may have not known that I was gay but I was different. I was one of many of her grandchildren but she treated me differently because I was treated differently. My mom told me that my gran insisted she buys me a doll because I was crying for it. I have not come out to anyone I sometimes wonder if my mom pretends she ain't aware I am gay o she is ignorant. Lemme stop here it won't end. I love ur Videos Drummond. Sending u love n light. It's my first time crying over a KZbin video💙💙

I hope you find a way to come out to your family sooner rather than later. So many gay people spend so much of their lives unhappy because they are scared of what people may think of them if they come out. I can tell you the weight that is lifted off of your shoulders once you’ve let all your secrets out is totally worth it. Secrets and lies are weights that no one should have to bare.

@@DrummondCulture thank u so much for replying it means a great deal to me. When I've gathered enough courage I will come out n I will tell u how it went. I do think it's better if I come out after my final exams since I do not know how they are going to react. Their reaction may adversely affect my perfomance. I tried following u on twitter but u aren't active. Thanks for replying both my comments. Talking to a stranger is therapeutic for me💓. Looking forward to ur new video😊

You are a wonderful, caring person. The people that write negative comments are only doing it out of their own insecurities. I can't imagine what it's like with all the losses you have had. You have so much courage opening up to us here on KZbin.

This video was deep. It makes you relatable or it will to many who watch your video. You have been through a lot! Dealing with loss of any kind on any level is hard. It takes time to open up. You opened up in this video. I learned about you watching this video. You are still healing personally. When you are ready, you will let someone in your life. The video was upfront and honest.

I lost my partner (husband) 18 months ago. He got a sudden bout of illness and he didn’t survive. We had been together for 14 years. It was very difficult to lose the signifant other so unexpectedly. But time heals and life goes on. What has made my recovery a lot easier is that we had a great communication. I knew exactly what he wanted after his death. Of course I still miss him, but I know he wanted me to continue my life normally.

I can relate to this video. I've been feeling so alone. After getting hurt and my heart getting broken I have felt like giving up on my life. My relationship with my dad is also not the best too.

No matter what you can't allow yourself to give up on life. Even when life seems like it's left you with no where else to turn to you'll be surprised with what turns show up if you just hold on.

To those of you who is dealing with loss, I want to share with you a sentence i saw in Fear the Walking Dead: let's not cry because he is gone let 's laugh because he was here. Death is not the end. As long as we remember, they live on with us till the day we die.
