On my 4 hose equipment, or could be done with more than 4, I spray paint the hoses of one pair close to the tips to mark them as a pair. Then I put a cable tie around the hose that I want in the top coupler so I always get them connected w/o having to try to trace them to whatever system they're hooked to. Lift, fold, etc. I put the cable tie right behind the tip on the exposed threads so its always right in sight, and I know hooks to the top. Never fails, you just have to remember which pair hooks to your favorite side. All of my lift hoses are the painted ones, so they all hook up to the same set of outlets.

At least the pin didn’t come out when you were going down the road.

I just did this with my 15 foot Deutz-Allis with no harrows on the back. It still has its factory safety chain which was hooked to the drawbar so I at least didn't pull out the hoses. Never found my pin though.

Something for future archeologists to ponder when the uncover it in a thousand years. 🙂

I guess its better to loose it in the field than the road, A friend of mine did that and we spent 2 hours getting it out of the ditch fence and trees ! LOL Thank god for hi jacks and mechanical rams ! Bandit

Better to loose it in the field than on the road. I’m liking the White so far.

Was raking hay last week, turned around my rake was sitting about 20 yards behind me LOL. Broke the tongue off the rake, so hooked up to the back up rake so no big deal. But it's always something, you just have to roll with the punches.

You should make sure to have the tractor over 1/2-3/4 throttle when you shift the 3 speed. Having good hydraulic pressure to the clutch packs is crucial to prolonging the life of the 3 speed. We learned that the hard way.

It's a real blast doing it on the road to get whiplash with that much throttle
@RoederFamilyFarmsКүн бұрын
@@boehmfarm4276 I always step the clutch in before shifting the 3 speed in road gear when I'm driving our Whites, eliminates the whiplash and is less hard on stuff

Happened to me while turning one time. Those hoses don't just pop out so good when they're at an angle to the disconnects. Had to replace that barrel thing that has the little balls in it. On the old style John Deere.

Flying that fast on the main road, I certainly see why you would put the stops in. A car does something weird and it will be a big wreck and lots of damage. The thing about the public is ya'll never know what Joe Public will do next. Maybe he hates farmers not knowing how his food gets to the store. Reminds me of some cat on here wondering, do girls poop. Hmm, serious life misconceptions. Like the song says, 》people are strange when you're a stranger, faces get ugly when you're alone.
