yeah I had chronic anxiety because I have ADHD which stopped me from being able to act on things I knew were important. The two things that made my anxiety turn a corner were believing that God wasn't angry at me for failing, and created me with the limitations that I have for a reason, and then being able to discern when those times were happening where God planned for me to act, and I didn't have trouble acting at all. God really does know how weak I am, and He really does love me this way, and He has a plan for my life that accounts for what I can and can't do. Medication helps as well. I'm on long term medication, and I can definitely say my anxiety can be managed much more easily. The thoughts don't continually bombard me, they go away when I solve the problem that brought them up. My anxiety was not at the level where I had panic attacks except for a short period in my life, but during that time, short acting medication was absolutely necessary over and above the long term medication. Nobody deserves to have panic attacks.

Thank you Fr. Mike- I’ve suffered from anxiety my whole life mostly due to trauma. Seven years ago - events outside of my control forced me to rebuild my life- despite my anxiety I had to push on- I was able to do so because I knew God was in control and I wasn’t alone - I only had to do my part so He could do His.

*These words are not mine.* These are the words the Ruach HaKodesh (YAHUAH's Set-Apart Spirit) uttered through me when I prayed to YAHUAH; asking him what *he wants* me to say, knowing the truth. To they with ears: "Know that YAHUAH is the name of the Most High and YAHUsha is the name of The Son. Come out of her, my people, who have fallen to the deceit of Constantine. Who know not my name and say they love me. I have made myself known. I have heard you and I am here. There are many who are yours to be saved. I am he who knows all that you are. Come to me, here are they who are mine. Make haste to come, here are we. Give in to them who speak of me, they are yours. I am here for you. Know that all is for them, here are we. Give not to them that are against me. I am he who sees all you do. Come to me out of her, all are here for me. Do what I say. Out of her, come. All are here." Exodus 3:13-15 KJV 13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? 14 And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you. 15 And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, the Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations. John 5:43 KJV 43 *I am come in my Father's name,* and ye receive me not: *if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.* 2 Corinthians 6:17 KJV 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and *touch not the unclean thing;* *and I will receive you.* Isaiah 52:6-7 KJV 6 Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that doth speak: behold, it is I. 7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth! 2 Corinthians 6:1-2 KJV 1 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain. 2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) Romans 10:1-3 KJV 1 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. 2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. 3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. Romans 10:13-17 KJV 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14 *How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?* 15 *And how shall they preach, except they be sent?* as it is written, *How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!* 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. *For Esaias saith,* Lord, *who hath believed our report?* 17 *So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.* Nahum 1:7 KJV 7 The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and *he knoweth them that trust in him.* Hebrews 3:15 KJV 15 *While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.* Isaiah 52:11 KJV 11 *Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing;* go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the Lord. John 14:15 KJV 15 *If ye love me, keep my commandments.*

I do trust God, and I feel like I've been praying incessantly for His will to be done in my life. But I don't trust my free will...at all. It has led me to do things I have serious regret over...and I am feeling so lost. Please pray for me. 😢
@wiiflixАй бұрын
So hard to trust we’re truly forgiven. If you feel worried I hope you will take step 1 and go to confession. The priest can talk you through it and most importantly absolve you from all your sins acting in the place of Jesus. You can leave that all behind. If that’s hard for you to take in, please talk to a compassionate priest about those feelings. I understand your struggles because I’ve been there. I’m praying for you.

This. Thank you ❤ not everyone understands anxiety, but you clearly do. But just as is stated in Romans 8, "all things work for good for those who love God who are called according to His purpose." God can use every single thing in your life for good, including anxiety. Once I began to lean into God, I realized that anxiety began to lift. The more I lean into Him, the more calm I feel. God is real and He loves you more than we will ever understand.

I didn't realize until later in life that being lost is a blessing. It truly is. Oftentimes, being lost can be indicative that you are starting to give up the direction, plans, expectations, demands, and concerns of the world and its conditionings. As if you, unknowingly, had enough and threw the road map out the window. It's a scary feeling at first, because we are conditioned to think we "need" a destination or high bars, but life happens in the present, and you can't be lost when you are present in the moment. Like Jesus said...don't worry about tomorrow...observe the birds and flowers as they live for right now, without future concern. I like using mindfulness meditation for this reason, books like "30 Days to Reduce Anxiety" by Harper Daniels have been nice mindfulness guides for me. It's so important to give up the desire and expectation to not be lost, and to accept being lost...because God's grace is present regardless of being lost.

"Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things." Philippians 4:8 I absolutely love how you quoted that at the end because I tell myself this ALL the time! One of my favorite quotes of my patron saint; "You are quite wrong to think of sorrows that the future may bring; it as it were, imermeddling with Divine Providence. We who run in the way of Love must never torment ourselves about anything. If I did not suffer minute by minute, it would be impossible for me to be patient; but I see only the present moment, I forget the past and I take good care not to anticipate the future. If We grow disheartened, if sometimes we despair, It is because we have been dwelling on the past or the future. " Story of a Soul ch. XII st. Therese of liliuex Be present, and be constantly Thankful God Bless 🥰❤ While your waiting for God to open a door, Praise Him in the Hallway! 😊

Thank you, Father Mike for such an amazing sermon. I needed that. In addition, your story about being lost while driving was so relatable to me. Like you, I never had to pay attention. I was reading or doing a word search whenever I wasn't driving. I found out, as you did, that I did myself a major disservice. I get lost on trips that I should know the way to. My sense of direction is further impaired because I was taught that my dominant hand was my right hand in elementary school. That's not true. I'm left-handed. As for the sermon itself, you have shown me exactly what I need to do. I've been urged to listen to music more. A strange urge to some I'm sure. However, I think that is one of the ways God communicates with me. He puts a lyric on repeat in my head and forces me to listen to what it says. There was one time, I had a song lyric stuck in my head, but that song I had not listened to for a long time. I believe it was an 80's Rock song. Anyway, I'm a college student about to graduate next year. I've been stressing about what to do next. I think I'm going to pray. I'm tired of leading myself into the dark. I look forward to this new series you're going to post on KZbin. Thank you, Father Mike. God bless you. ❤
