@@lalove4574The discomfort comes from people like you, who judge a people without knowing them. You're not supposed to recognize benevolence and kindness when you see it. The people in the video were caring. They simply welcomed them, and they are interested in tourists because Algerians love interacting with tourists. They all welcomed and offered to help. I know Algeria very well. I have visited it many times. And in all the countries I have visited, Algeria is the only country in the world where they do not harass tourists to sell them anything and everything. It's not like Morocco or Egypt where they annoy the tourists. Algerians never do that because they are not interested in money. They enjoy interacting with strangers in a completely sincere and selfless way. I know what I mean. In friendship or love it is authentic with Algerians. Unlike Moroccans or Egyptians, Algerians do not consider tourists as walking dollars. Algerians are extraordinarily generous. They pay tourists for the restaurant without knowing them. I have never seen this in other countries, among other peoples. They don't see tourists as walking dollars, and that's very appreciable as a tourist. You judge and criticize an entire people without reason, solely on your preconceived ideas and backwardness. Your clichés and stereotypes are bearable. It's racist. Go watch his previous video, where the taxi driver refused to let him pay. He even gave him the clothes he was wearing. And a lady did the same for her girlfriend. You have certainly never visited other countries because your backward mentality is hateful. Stay at home.

Hi Chris and Gladys. Welcome to the continent of Algeria. So, rich with culture, history and beautiful sceneries and vistas. It is a big country, you will need a few months to see most places. You should come back and dedicate some time just for the south and desert. Algeria is full of Greek and Romain remains. Go and see Tipaza, not far from Algiers. People are very warm, kind and generous. Lol, what the taxi driver was telling you is, he visited Barcelona one day, he lost all his papers on the bus, inc. passport, driver’s license etc.. He was surprised and shocked the bus driver himself that returned his papers to the hotel he was staying in. Your are lovely and kind couple. Much love and peace from Stevenage, England. God bless you both.

I think you were lost on the translation. The Cab driver is a such nice person, he first recommended fish restaurant that sells fresh fish at good prices. He said tous droit in French , it means in English straight a head , then he jumped a little bit to history to let you know that he is Berber Which is equivalent to ‘ kabayle’ word. Algier city is 1000 years old, city.Berber are the native people of North Africa, they lived dominantly in Algeria, Tunisia , Morocco and Lybia and few in Egypt . Berber people survived several civilizations occupation starting with the Greek, Romans, Arabs , Turk and France last. Then at the end of the conversation the cab driver invited you if you wish to come over and stay with his family for free. You will notice unmatched hospitality, generosity and kindness to visitors and strangers in the North African countries in general.

As for turks it was the same except that they weren't interested in spreading their language to other nations

They are kind but everyone asks for money you cant trust anyone maybe its because of poverty? But algerians are not rich but they are genuine and they are funny. One in Marrakesh, we started to talk a man he was so kind and funny and then when he told us to follow him to his restaurant and we said no we whete full he just switched from happy to very strange and turned his back i mean that would never happen in Algeria, they smile with you because they like you. I don’t think others citys are like this. Algeria has oil , gas and many others ressources they never focused in tourism even if it starting to develope but mainly in the sahara.

Algeria is the gateway to Africa and the door to Europe. A big country with it's beautiful sahara.. it's wonderful beaches.. forrests and mountains. It's vast area makes you see the beautiful views of the whole world in one country even the weather varies from one region to another.

You should visit the roman ruins and the Royal Mausoleum of Mauritania in Tipaza (it's a province to the west of Algiers) and maybe even if its available book a night or two in a touristic complex called "CET" in tipaza, just make sure its a sunny day so you enjoy the beach.
