I lived in harbin for four years . I loved the snow and I miss central street. I used to goto that Russian restaurant. Damn, I really want to go back. People from harbin are really friendly and proud to be Chinese. One day I will also return !!

Professional film maker and professional team! Thank you for your hard working and tolerance of standing on the freezing land for long hours in order to capture the optimum views for us. I felt it from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for showing us an Haerbin in a positive prospective and this film is valued as documentary for China and those who is looking forward to traveling there.

Amaizing! Thank you so much for sharing. I became aware of Harbin because I'm a fan of the figure skater Bojang Jin and have been so curious about his home town because he always talks about it with so much pride. Its such an amazing surprise to learn that Harbin has so much complex and beautiful history. It's awesome how much it has changed and developed in such a short time. China is really stepping up it's game x100 it's so impressive and exciting : )

Tuve la oportunidad de estar en Harbin con mi hijo en Feb. 2013 y realmente es fascinante el lugar. Tiene mucha tendencia Rusa. El frío es inimaginable a tal grado que se cristaliza el líquido de la naríz. Buen video me hizo recordar mi maravilloso viaje. Pero si faltaron los tequilitas.

Will go there one day. Reminds me of the Hotel de Glace in Quebec which I visited last year except Harbin's Ice Festival is much bigger in scale. Did you visit the Harbin Unit 731 where the japanimals used to perform live human experimentation on the Chinese, Russians and Koreans during WWII, including vivisection and biological and chemical warfare?

So refreshing to see such a positive documentary about this part of todays China, and its people. We won’t see this on mainstream western media without some stereotypical biting comment. You tackled the regeneration process honestly and without denigrating the government. Remarkable sculptures. Absolutely amazing. One important correction though, like many you don’t seem to know what 1st and 3rd worlds mean. It’s a political status and not a description. China can never be a 1st world unless it joins NATO.

Landing in Harbin in 10 days, so this vid was ever so helpful. Presently it is +36C here in Australia. hehe.. This will be my 8th trip to China, and realise how important food is to Chinese culture and how it changes from region to region. How come no mention of the cuisine here boys? Regardless, thanks for all the insights.

Logically if your have to live there I would go swimming. Because once’s you experience the worse cold any other cold day is nothing. So it about being smarter and training your mind for dally extreme cold living. Instead of worrying on the news that this winter going to the coldest yet. Being on top of things make you smarter.
