The first time I have ever seen a live catfish jumping out of a container. I have eaten a lot of catfish at restaurants, church fundraisers and neighborhood fish fries. My mouth waters at thinking about eating fried catfish at a Lagos restaurant with traditional Lagos seasoning. Your VLOGS gives me an experience that other video loggers have not been able to do. While watching your VLOGS I feel as though I am right there in the middle of all the activity. Several times I became concerned for your safety when you were stopped or waved to pull over to the side because I did not know why. The ride through Oshodi Market and Ladipo Market was amazing. The historical background information you provided helped me to understand what I was seeing. The sounds and constant movement convey to me that the citizens of these areas are resilient people who continue to thrive in spite of the economically deprived environment that surrounds them. Thank you Ludo for sharing another memorable experience.

thanks a lot brother for this so warm comment. waking up on a monday to work on an edit and reading this, is the perfect thing to have a good boost of motivation. i really appreciate your comment regarding the immersive experience, this is really the main point i try to create, i really would like this video to be your journey and not mine. it looks like it is working for some viewers, and i am glad, has i feel i wanted to share not only what i observe, but the full experience. The historical facts i try to put in has a double goal, first make me learn, and then share what i have learned to produce the video. I have learned many things on Ikoyi, the eso of Ikoyi and it's development for the last video i am now encoding. hopefully it will be online later today or tomorrow.

Don't miss the forest for the trees, there is beauty in humanity everywhere. And the biggest and richest cities in the USA, the richest & most powerful country on Earth, can give you scenes of poverty not far from this. That's even more of a shame because it has so much more ability to eradicate poverty than Nigeria/Lagos does.

Watching this almost brought tears to my eyes..bcos I miss it all(funny)...been a while though...when next I visit home from the Texas... surely take a bike and walk around to see if my spare part dealers still there. thanks a lot for your warm comment ! their use to be what we called "sanitation day" every first Saturday morning of the month. I felt that was nice and an initiative that could even be developed and paired with other project about littering, environmental issues... Unfortunately, i don t know why, sanitation day is not ongoing any-more since few years.

I enjoyed the video. My wife and I live in Panama. We watched the video together. The tree's and the rocky dark colored soil look the same here in Panama. In Panama city we have the same type of neighborhoods. Busy with people. Hectic and chaotic. Lots of trash in the streets and open drains in the streets. The roadside tienda's look the same. Apartments look the same. We don't have a big auto parts market like you have though. My wife is from Columbia. She has never been to Africa. We both enjoyed the tour. Appreciate it.

thank you for showing us this. It was very interesting and so many people! I am from a small town USA so this is amazing for me to see. I do have many questions though for one there was a guy pushing a bike with a cart and had things on it I suppose he was selling but what were the items? were they locally produced/made? I tried to go back for the time stamp but couldn't find it again but there were so many things to see! I saw the fish but there was another place with something red/orange it went by so fast I couldn't make out what it was so I am wondering if it was a type of food or something else? It would be so cool for you stop now & then and explain some of the items that are there . So please if you can make another similar to this but with a bit more information & detail I would greatly appreciate and enjoy the experience. thank you & many blessings

no birth control....birth in lagos is similar to the rest of the world..everyone just migrates there because of job opportunity, The solution isn't less birth control its industrialization of surrounding areas so people stay in their towns and not come to Lagos. Telling Africans about birth control is a slap to the face/is very offensive.....there are 1.2 billion Africans and 1.4 billion Chinese. Only one country in Asia.....plus people in Lagos usually have 3-4 children.

Nigerian don’t give birth to more than 4 kids per wife... the government just have to industrialize other states heavily so young unemployployed youths can leave Lagos for opportunity outside. Other states are not as densely populated and have a bigger land mass. Lagos is Nigeria’s smallest state.

@@paultejido9691 bro it's not chaotic. That will be all too negative for a place like lagos. Fast in this context means: Fast as fast people walk pass you n something is gone and every other fast way bike moving pass you before you could turn as a car owner. Fast can be chaotic as well in some other way n like a bit of my first paragraph. Night life in lagos is fast and you can say its chaotic alone. So fast is what it is not chaotic. Chaotic is different ball game, chaotic dosen't live in Lagos it's on war ground or crazy atmosphere. Ire oooo.
