@@hioman Everything up to 2:13 or before the trailer is test footage and not part of the movie. The fact that Dio wears the part one manga outfit is the biggest indicator because in the 2007 movie he has his Castlevania looking pirate outfit with hearts when he confronts Zeppeli and Jonathan and Zeppeli in the movie is wearing a red outfit and hat while in the test footage he’s wearing a gray outfit. Speedwagon from what I heard was just not in the movie but he pops up in the test footage.

I have very mixed feelings about this film. Like, on the one hand, it looks so cool, I wish it'd been more popular, maybe enough so that it'd had a DVD release. I mean, not really. Part 3's OVA was popular both when it was released and even in modern day, but that didn't stop the DP anime to re-adapt the part due to altered/removed content and not matching the style of the manga. The same presumably would have applied to Part 1 if it got a home release.

I don’t know how bad the PB movie is but in terms of art direction it does have that late 80’s Anime feel and the darker colors fit the Victorian goth atmosphere that Araki said that he was going for.

As much as people clamor over this lost gem, it really wasn't necessary The studio that produced the in betweeners for part 3 and this are one in the same. Those were painfully slow. Even when I was first getting into the series, they kept putting me to sleep Something about the tone or pacing just made everything fascinating about JoJo as a whole seem like they wanted to be a different genre. Even the initial OVAs seemed to take stylistic liberties. There was more realism present, but they didn't stray from the impact which the series was known for I'm more enthusiastic to watch Darby "call or F'ing fold!" Then watch Jotaro take a week to pull out the flesh bud Outside of the theatrical presentation behind part 1, they aren't adding anything we haven't already seen. Dio gets the mask, JoJo beats his goons, Dio is defeated May as well give the license to Ghibli for as many ways it could be retold

Never heard the line "Call or "f'ing fold!"... unless it came from some crappy fansubs where Jotaro kept trying to be hardcore by saying the F word every episode. As much as the OVAs had a darker tone, they were still enjoyable for me. Maybe things weren't lightning fast, but the soundtrack used was pretty good. Still love the D'Arby fight to this day. Just wish we didn't lose out on re-releases just because DIO read the Quran.
