Great skaters. Could skate everything. SMA Debunker vid was an old favorite with Peterson ripping amongst others. Knox was big influence too. Great footage

I love how you're running to set up the next shot between their tricks. Looks like a sick spot too.

Tom Knox had a quote that always stuck with me…once a skater always a skater. He introduced me to kickflipwallrides.

Great lost footage of two great legends. Had the '91 "otter deck" by Petersen. Would be nice if SMA would reissue that deck one day because I would buy it again. Thanks again for the lost footage.

Tom Knox shredded up curbs and did the first ever kickflip backside wall ride, that i’d ever seen in video. It blew me moYnd!!!👍🏼🍻

Yeah man. When I filmed that I knew we had something historic.

Some really cool places to skate in Visalia back in the day were Curb Lands @ McDonalds, Big 5 Sporting Goods bank to wall, stair sets at Redwood high, Chicago Title parking garage, pretty much all of Mooney Boulevard…to name a few

Alan has ALWAYS been a ripper… I remember him showing up at these demos at this roller rink,in Modesto and just blowing minds… Blasting just as high and skating on par with some of the pros that are there… And I believe … that was before he ever even had a sponsor. Incredibly natural talent ❤️🔥

This looks like an area out in the middle of nowhere around Hanford. There is something similar to this in the central Valley. Stones throw away from Visalia, Hanford, etc.

What’s happened to Alan? He was very common in skate media and then suddenly just disappeared. He was like the Grant Taylor of the early 2000’s.

He is doing great, lives in Australia.

Tom Knox's wheels looked so small back then, but in reality they had to be around 55mm in an age where everyone was still riding 58mm or higher on street. Dude killed it in Santa Cruz's Reason for Living as well. He wasn't H-street level as far as tech tricks and what those guys were doing in 1990 but he had some mean ATV and ledge skills. Besides him, Natas, Sheffey, Stranger, and Dressen no one else out of the NHS companies were on their level as far progression on the street.

Shoots, in 1989 I filmed him pull the kickflip wallride, very tech...no H-Street guy was stepping to that! A few years later once it got crazy slow and flippy things separated for sure.

Wax wasn't in our vocabulary until somewhere in the 90s. Just go faster was the motto.

Looks like you all "risked" a lot when skating through the bottom rubble. Other than that, good skating.
