YOOOO I FEEL YOU!!! I helped a local small business for about 2 years and the owner consistently paid late. MY DUDE, She was dodging me and my wife...my wife was helping them out as well, they made us feel like we were helping them as friends so she could get away with abusing us for so long. I just earned my Salesforce Administrator Certification to switch into the tech world. As a SFdev you should be earning close to 6 figures out of the gate. I’m bootstrapping my own app, which is why I stopped “helping” that “friend” and skilled up to afford to build my app. I would never fkkkkkkin close communication lines in such a crappy way. Making someone decide between bills while they tried to decide between personal trainers...what?! Yeah man, we have a daughter now as well, so we couldn’t “help” them keep the business alive anymore. It’s time to do my own thing and between us, I PROMISE TO NEVER TREAT ANYONE HOW WE WERE TREATED.

Now, I’m in the similar situation like yours too. My boss keep paying me late, I was fine for the 2 months. Then he gave me a lot promise, while he still late to pay me. Until this point, I was trying to don’t care anymore, stop work there, and ignoring him. Fortunately I have freelance job/ side hustle, so I can survive from that while I’m looking for new jobs. Don’t trust business man, too much speak, never act + heartless. They never care if we need money to eat and pay bills

you need to sue them for that money. Please make sure you have a log of all the work you did over that 3 month period and take them to court. Also having communication logs with messages regarding to pay (or lack there of) will be helpful.
