You asked why Jack would book a ticket. Remember he told Kate, he constantly flies, hoping the plane will crash, he wants to go back to the island...this is the beginning of that for him.

Thanks I was going to post this as well. And we know this is true because there are 10's of Oceanic tickets on Jacks floor when he asks Kate to meet him at the airport. What we will never know for sure is if Jack booked the 1st ticket because Locke said, "your father says hello" or was he already flying.

The first hint that the desert was a controlled exit was in Season 4 Episode 2, In Charlotte's flashback, she goes to the desert and finds a polar bear with a dharma collar. Later that season Ben appears in the desert. Us fans at the time speculated that was not a coincidence.

Great reaction as usual! I keep checki g everyday when you'll post a reaction. That scene between Jack and Locke was so mesmerizing. They have the best interactions on the show. And of course, the scene between Locke and Ben is mind blowing and heartbreaking.

12:50 - I always thought that was a very strange pose, and later I saw someone talk about how historically, old paintings of saints, angels etc. used different poses to mean different things, and how Locke's right hand sticking out and pointing like it was meant something specific, along the lines of him sort of being Jesus/a savior like Mike said. Have never been able to find it agian; and I know it's extremely unlikely, but maybe someone sees this and knows what I'm talking about. IIRC the analysis included how Ben was kneeling at that point.

Personally, I don't blame Kate for her reaction to John's visit. After everything that happened on the island, there is no love lost there. From Kate's perspective, John burned her too many times already. Locke walked away from both her and Sayid, after lying to them the entire journey to rescue Jack... left her, locked up, with barely a 'see ya, these are my people now'. Then John murdered Naomi, for which she bore the brunt of the fallout. Used Hurley against her & Sayid. Then John banished her from the Barracks... because only he's allowed to be disingenuous with his teammates, only he's allowed to do whatever he wants like blow up subs and stuff. So... yeah, she has no sympathy for him. Why should she?

I always liked the way the writers used Walt after season 1. With the actor visibly aging over the 6 seasons, it was impossible for him to remain the 10-year-old kid on the island when he was actually 13 or 14. So he had to go, and so did Michael, their characters being linked. The flashforwards make it possible to see Walt again since they take place 3 years after the crash. Thus his physical appearance is no longer a problem because the timeline of the story has caught up with that of the actor's reality. Ben has always used Locke for his own purposes. Here, he pressed him for the latest information in his possession as one squeezes a citrus fruit to the last drop. Become useless, Ben got rid of Locke. John was telling Eko in the Pearl that his life was pathetic, his death wasn't much better. Hopefully his second life is happier now that he's resurrected.

Actually it's basically been said that the reason Michael was written out was because he wanted more to do, and was unhappy about the focus shifting so aggressively to the white characters.

I agree. They did the best they could. This is why the question of "did the writers make it up as they went along?" Is both unfair and ridiculous. The answer is YES, but everything, ever created is "made up as they went along." Every story, every book, every show. It's called "the writing process." In the case of Walt, the writers had to call an audible.

How did Christian know Eloise Hawking and that John had to die? Easy, that scene in the cave with the wheel was taking place in 2007, after John has come back to the island. Yeah, more information being relayed through a time loop. It’s crazy.

@@KPK75772Yeah it is. In a couple episodes, they disappear for a little bit, saying they need to run an errand. We never see what that errand is, but if you connect the dots, you know where they’re going
